This game should really be called Modern Warfare 2.5 because there is no different in game play apart from the different maps and Survival. DON'T WAST YOUR MONEY

The price is not worth it. This game sucks its just mw2 with a worse campaign and multiplayer. The only good thing is spec ops which has improved but overall this game is horrible and CoD is getting old with hackers and their old multiplayers.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

This is such a good game. The first time I jumped online it was multiplayer armaggedon (in a good way). If you get this, Infected is the best gameplay. Do not miss out on this game and don't listen to the bad reviews. There all wrong. This game is not even close to modern warfare 2. This game is its own. Btw i got a clan if you want to join on psn. I think it's a good game and multiplayer is good. I think the problem with the COD games is, they have basically changed nothing since Modern Warfare. Yeah they've improved multiplayer a bit and with the Black ops series, tons of zombies maps... Gameplay is starting to get dated, the graphics engine is outdated and with little change. It's just pretty much an expansion of MW2. It's still a good game but not for the hefty price tag it carried new, not worth it. Hopefully since they are switching up some stuff in Black Ops, they will address some of these problems.

I got MW3 for Christmas. Let me say I LOVE the COD series as well as the Battlefield series. This COD game.....didn't do it for me. Both my siblings and friends were not impressed with this game. It's basically a Remake of MW2 with new guns. Overall, sound is terrible, graphics are eh, gameplay is fairly boring, and I was bored of it within a week. Would Strongly reccomend to steer clear of this particular game. Hopefully the next COD installment will improve upon this one. Until then, don't waste your money.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

I dont see why people think this game is lame. It really amazing. The gameplay is amazing, I love multiplayer! Campaign is eaasy to follow, And the spec ops are truiely great. They out did themselvs with this game. Take my word if you love call of duty, GET IT. I own every single one, and i love this the most!

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

This game gets a lot of criticism and you'll have your fair share of complainers, but what it comes down to is earning those killstreaks. It's fun when your the one winning, when your the one controlling that predator missile. My review is really leaning towards the multiplayer aspects of the game since that's where the lasting appeal gets a 9 in my book. I'd advise to find that perfect killstreak setup, once that's done you'll have more fun know what I mean?

If you are getting bored of the game, try using a submachine gun since it'll raise the chances of you killing others (lets face it, most of the time it's close-quarter combat). I'm getting into the mp7 - you can watch some gameplay in the link!

I, like many Call of Duty players, bought this game for the multiplayer which is the most popular on consoles. I have been playing COD multiplayer since World at War on the PS3 and Finest Hour on the PS2. The core idea of the multiplayer changed in this installment in the franchise: winning over kills. Many may question that statement, but let me explain. In the previous Call of Duty's, killstreaks such as dogs, choppers, and others were earned by getting kills. Some games allowed killstreaks to add to your streak total while games like Black Ops made it so the player had to actually use their gun to earn their rewards. In Modern Warfare 3, points (for killstreaks) are earned in just about any way possible: capturing a point, shooting down a helicopter, and other ways. The problem with this is "pointstreaks" in the assault package are nearly impossible to get. Eighteen kills for the top reward, but everyone always has a stinger to shoot down the helicopters that earn you the reward. Now I'm sure you are thinking, "I bet this guy is horrible at COD." Wrong. I had a 4.06 KDR on Black Ops BECAUSE I earned dogs because the game was based on gunplay, like the other games in the franchise. Infinity Ward claimed they would bring the game back to its roots; however, they did not. Gun skill used to be the standard, but now earning EMP's and Stealth Bombers is simple: just play a game of Domination and you are guarenteed one. Needless to say, Robert Bowling, who has stepped down, and the rest of the staff on Infinity Ward has taken Call of Duty back a step.
