Call of Duty: Ghosts
Terrible Big Disappointment
This game was a huge let down. The maps are to big and class load outs was a terrible idea. so i wouldn't recommend this
this game the worse one it and pay 60 for it not a good ideal its got hackers in it already ghost fix your game
i like the slide and lean around objects
I like the graphics in the game and the attack dogs also the IED the hybrid thermal sight but when preordered the game I did not get the ghost mask for my character and all my family members that play have it.
Not up to what I expected
Just wait until the price goes lower, don't spend $60 for this game if you really want to try it out. Might be fun but not worth the money for it. Campaign was okay, Multiplayer gameplay is the same, you got campers every where and no one wants to leave their little corner. Overall, the graphics was the cool part of the game. This is just my opinion, everyone has their own taste in games.
I liked Black Ops 2 so i bought this. Big mistake.
The spawning is horrible, characters die with like 2 bullets, the quickscoping is ridiculous, and the aim assist is biased.
What's Not to Love?
When I first picked this game up, my initial thoughts were not so great. You die too fast, maps are too big, I can't find anybody. Those later struck me as some of the strengths of this game. Aside from the usual outdated graphics, there are so many new features to be found across all three of the main game modes! If you hate this game, you haven't played it or you haven't played it enough.
Worst COD in Franchise history. Horrible!
I was expecting this game to be fun because of the trailers and hype, but no! It turned out to be quite the opposite. Campaign was boring, dull and just a disappointment. Multiplayer is absolutely horrible! The way the maps are designed it just encourages camping. The Spawn system is the worst by far, I was killed by an enemy and not even 2 seconds, I respawned in front of the guy who killed me and he killed me again!
Could have been better
This game is awesome if your a casual gamer. Ghost was awesome at some points and other points it was disappointful. The story mode is to short. The online play is the same as any other Call Of Duty game. The new game systems didn't do as we were told. Unlocking items is to slow and pointless. The perks are separated. Same as always, leaving during a game isn't fixed. I think Infinity Wards could have done better and for that I give this game a 5 out of 10. If Infinity Wards make a GHOST 2 game I hope they do a better job.
You should go to game stop right now. Best campaign in COD history. Everything is great. You get COD ghost. Everyone who doubts it don't know what they are talking about.
Your money is better spent elsewhere.
Despite all the hype of destructible environments, customizable characters, new guns, new perks, and new maps, Ghosts falls far short of what it should've been. Over the past 5 or so years that I've been playing COD MP, I've come to not expect pristine gaming experience (throwing knives can bounce...really?) but I did value the series as source of 2-3 hours of cheap fun.
Like the rest of the sheep, I preordered this game and couldn't wait to play at launch. When I did get it, the matches I entered moved at a snail's pace because of the heavy amounts of lag. As a result, I put the game down for a week. When I returned, the lag had somewhat cleared up and I was able to enjoy (I use that term loosely) a few matches.
Fastforward to presentday, I will be returning this game to the store for the paltry trade-in amount it will be worth. The squad system is underwhelming as is the customizable character feature. I thought that it would be something the likes of HALO. Ghosts' character customization system lacks depth, offering a paucity of choices that are also underwhelming.
The destructible environments aspect does exist, but few will ever see it occur over the course of a match. I've been witness to about 2-3 K.E.M strikes but other than that, the "changing" environments only seem to consist of random pieces of debris fall near you, messing up your ability to track enemy movements via sound. Despite being hyped as the major new thing that this generation of COD game was bringing to the table, it's execution was poor to say the least.
The maps are a confusing mish-mash of locations that, as other reviewers have said, will leave you and your matchmates scratching your heads. There are a ridiculous number of sidepaths- so expect to die by being shot from behind a lot. I also believe that the weird combination of terrains/locations in each map is also leading the majority of MPers to just corner camp, again making for an underwhelming play experience.
Then there is the lag. I didn't think that there would be as much lag comp. as there was in Treyarch games, but I was wrong. Most of the matches I play have such huge amounts of lag that I find myself quitting and trying to requeue for another match. Many times, I would dump half my clip into a guy that isn't aware of my presence only to have him kill me with one bullet because the Killcam shows that he actually saw me first. Hit detection is also pretty bad as well. Knifing has been improved but as another review mentioned, the animation leaves you vulnerable for a bit too long.
Campaign was interesting, but I didn't care for it. The only reason I played it was because the technical issues with MP were giving me a headache.
In summary, as the holiday season enters full swing and you're buying presents for that special gamer in your life, avoid COD: Ghosts. The fails to deliver on multiple fronts. For those of you that do owe and have played this game, it feels as if it's missing something, doesn't it?
Bottomline: spend your money on something better. You work hard for your money, don't waste it on this junk.
