Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway Limited Edition
The graphics, game-play, storyline, and the fact that its not short or easy is a plus and an enjoyment. I can't wait when there will be a new version for this game, because the graphics will be better than this one. I recommend picking this game up and you will like it enough where you will not want to return it. You can command your squad for machine gunners, assault team, base of fire team, and bazooka team to a point where you want them to be and you can order them to shoot or suppress an enemy. If you have surround sound, you will definitely like the effects and music. I won't recommend it for kids, its really graphic. When you shoot an enemy in the head, it shows the head burst apart in slow motion. When you shoot the bazooka into a sand bag bunker when there are enemies behind it, it will also show them being blown apart in slow motion, like in Saving Private Ryan, without the slow motion. All in all, this game is good for those who love First Person Shooters.
Hell's Highway is in no way a terrible game. It's just another of a series of games out there that fail to deliver graphically what was promised. The game's major distraction has got to be the noise-filled shadows that cast on all the characters in game. Instead of smooth shadows you have something that looks like tiny black spots. At first I thought something was wrong with my system, because how could an established company release a game with such a serious graphical glitch? The game play is okay, it's no call of duty, but they never really are. I would love to recommend this game to others, but the shadows... the horror of the shadows! If they had spent just a little more time on the game, maybe even delay it 2 or 3 more months to work on the core problems of the game, this could have been a 9 instead of 6/7 in my book.
I cant wait...please release now
I am a big fan of the Brothers in Arms series, and i have been excited for this game for over a year now, and its finally almost here. I have seen many videos and they look spectacular. Sometimes you might even think they threw in a live action sequence. The new destructible cover is going to be a great addition, as well as the new special squad. I cant wait for this game and I hope they release a demo soon.
The ONLY game for tactical WWII gameplay
Brothers in Arms is the only game in town if you want a realistic WWII shooter, MoH is always 1 v. 1,000 (Which we all know is exactly how the allies won *rolls eyes*) Call of Duty 1 & 2 showed a more accurate depiction of how the battles of Stalingrad and other campaigns of World War 2 had taken place, but you never feel empathy or compassion for any of your squadmates, since they're all faceless and have no personality. They are pretty much just A.I characters with names and ranks posted above their heads to show that you should not shoot them when it's too dark to see properly. Brothers in Arms is the closest you'll get to being in the shoes of a sergeant during the war, since you personally get introduced to every person you command, you get to know their thoughts and fears. You'll see them try to tough it out through some hard times, and if they happen to die in battle; then it'll have more of an effect than the hundreds of nobodies that happen to take a bullet in the middle of a battle in CoD and no one is around to die in Medal of Honor. Finally, Hell's Highway has a gore system. So if you see someone get blasted with an '88 or an MG '42 then they're gonna get torn to shreds. Limbs fly off in explosions, headshots with penetrate the enemy and friendly A.I's skulls and bodies leaving bloody lacerations and puncture wounds. This isn't a T rated war, its M all the way. So if you want a realistic War game this generation, pick BiA:HH. CoD is all well and good but I haven't seen a person get shot and not bleed before.
DON'T BOTHER BUYING IT
Every single BIA has been a huge dissapointment. If you like unreal graphics and the same thing over and over an over again, by all means, buy it. Sure there are new features, but none of which haven't already been added in new games. Buy one of those like COD4 or even MOH. Anything is better than these games.
It's a pretty good game. The only thing I don't like is you have to press the R2 button to fire your weapon and R1 to throw a gernade.
