CHARACTER REVEAL

MATHRAS - The Undead Companion

Mathras is certainly no ordinary undead. Educated and refined, he lived before the time of the Lords of Ice, even before any known civilization. Sadly for him, Mathras does not have enough time to explain that he's not even remotely allied with the Deadarmy before humans try to murder him. He will join the cause of the hero out of simple curiosity, or perhaps fun, but beware: on the battlefield, Mathras casts lethal spells on his enemies, controlling their minds and transforming them into allies during the fight. After all, Mathras has had the last 3,000 years to perfect the art of jousting and fighting, skills he applies equally as well through words as well as magic.

RANDVAL - The Warrior Companion

Randval is a warrior, last survivor of an ancient clan that was decimated by the Deadarmy. He now lives with the burden of regaining the lost honor of his clan, or to die trying. According to his strict code of honor, Randval protects the village of Valvenor, waiting for an opportunity to claim this honor back. His meeting with the Hero of Bound by Flame will give Randval this opportunity he was longing for. The seemingly impossible quest the Hero has thrown himself in is an epic, heroic and desperate goal definitely worthy of the code of honor of Randval's clan. Randval is an extremely disciplined fighter, who is ready to sacrifice his life if it is necessary. He considers the demonic powers of the hero as a mean to fight the Ice Lords. On the battlefield, he will rush into the enemies, taunting them to get their attention and have them focus their attacks on him, giving his allies freedom of movement and relative safety to attack.

SYBIL - The Wizard Companion

Shy yet ingenuous and combative, the wizard Sybil is the daughter of the leader of the Order of the Red Scholars. Growing up under the cover of the order, she traveled around the world to gather and centralize knowledge of all kind. On the battlefield, you can count on her offensive powers to fight your enemies, but she is also specialized in the art of healing, magically tending to your wounds in the heat of battle. Diplomatic, very smart, Sybil is pushed by her curiosity to join the Hero in his quest. She will help him to understand his new demonic inner self, and is the first to worry about the consequences the extensive use of his demonic powers may involve.

RHELMAR - The Ranger Companion

Rhelmar is an Elf with his own sense of justice. Alas, it rarely fits the definition the rest of the world gives to justice'! A former outlaw, Rhelmar rejects the Elves' neutral state in the ongoing conflict, and takes and active part in the fight against the Deadarmy. Considered a pariah amongst his people, Rhelmar is determined to act as he feels right, even if it implies risking his own life. On the battlefield, he's an elite archer who can inflict lethal damage to his opponents from range... but he is also more than able with a dagger, when close range fights are inevitable.

EDWEN - The Witch Companion

Fierce and powerful, nothing will stop the mysterious witch Edwen from getting what she wants. She joins the hero to assist him in his quest, but seems to be guided by an all too personal thirst for vengeance. In her opinion, the hero's demonic influence is a mean to reach his goals, and he should embrace it to harness its powers. She might become your best ally in the looming battle... if you bow to her will, that is.

Features:

  • Create and customize a powerful warrior, develop your skills (combat, assassination and fire magic) and call upon the devastating powers of the demon within.
  • Find, create and improve your weapons and armor, and find help from numerous companions to help you fight Shadowdragons, Leeches and the fearsome warriors of Deadarmy in perilous and spectacular real-time battles!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slow to start off with Beware, for anyone who likes to use a Swords AND Shield, this may not be the best game out there for you. There is NO shield, which kinda sucks. as you start to fight with enemies, The sword swings are kinda slow so you have to practice alot to time your swings, but it get easier through the game. This game is good for those who like to be given the good or evil path, and the changes that come along with it. (Like Fable) I had fun playing it, but with it being so short I recommend renting the game first off PS Now. I did and within a week I'm near the end of the game

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing Potential, No Followthrough. This game is great starting off, challenging you to pick the right perks and et cetera, but there is almost no replayability to this game for me personally. You go through a very restricted storyline and fight very simplistic fights against boss monsters until you reach the end. The only real way the Demon effects you is your outward appearance. On my first playthrough, I gave in to the Demon and let him take me over. Had a great look and all that, my magic was powerful of course, but when I started to test my second playthrough I realized that the story didn't diverge at all beyond who lived and who died. It had AMAZING potential to be a game that we could invest DAYS into if they expanded it to other countries, maybe lengthened the story in some way, gave it more of a freeroam. As it stands, this game is a 6/10 for Graphics. Pretty decent for a game such as this. I wouldn't've expected more or less. Gameplay itself was good too! It was the basic role-play and pick perks kind of game, really couldn't expect more or less. The voice acting was a little lackluster for our own characters as we only have one voice, making some of the characters faces not fit the voice much to my frustration. The overall sounds in game were decent. I would recommend this for a play through if you want to know the story entirely. If you don't care, I'd only recommend it if you really want to go and spend the money on a game you'll probably play once and forget about. This game had the potential, but they skimped and it seems like they cut it down as much as they could to make it a "linear" story.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from incredible potential but feels incomplete When I started up the game I was nervous in wondering what I had just bought. I started a new game and found a character creation menu which excited me, It was however very limited. No alternate voices were available and some of the voice acting in the game was very lacking or awkward. Graphics weren't awesome but they were good enough to play with. The gameplay was pretty fun and it offered a few alternate ways to fight strategically with traps, Pyromancy ,daggers, crossbow, and of course the classic longsword. I felt like i was was playing a mix of Witcher and Dragons age but it fell short. The inner fight with the demon was one of the best aspects of this game, however i believe the game was cut too short to really appreciate the morality of the decisions made. The story went on and on about other big bosses which made me think they originally intended to expand the game to the other kingdoms but it too was cut short to just one kingdom. All in all this was a game worth playing but could have been much much better and this was most likely because of a small budget. All the signs were there but for some reason or another this game became what it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was nice Just trust me, if you enjoy a good story and a pretty game, then you will enjoy this game. At least I did, and I would recommend this game to anyone that has time to sit down and play every once in a while.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Please read before buying! I give it a weak 4/10 and I am usually all for RPG's, but this one just did not deliver. With a story line that takes about 12-20 hrs depending on how slow/fast to go through it, it is very short. First off the graphics are not that great and rigid, Kind of like low budgeted Dragon Age. The dialogue is unnecessarily sarcastic to where it gets annoying, kind of like they are trying way to hard to be badasses. For the gameplay it is decent and reminds me again of Dragon Age, but with more options and you can move all over. By far the things that made it a 4 for me is the leveling and merchant system. Usually whenyou level up your stats will too, right? Wrong, the only "stats" you have is whatever your character is wearing and your HP/MP stays the same except in the few times things give you slight boost. So grinding for xp is pretty much a complete waste in this game. Moving on to the rip off vendors that sell everything way more than what they are worth in your inventory. Ex: 1 sword in inventory is like 300G and if you buy the same sword it is more like 1,200G. All in all if you still want the game just be prepared to be let down in classic RPG areas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad at all Well this game was a welcomed surprise. I was not expecting it to be very good, but I sure was wrong. There is a lot to like in this game. The best part to me is the combat. It's a little tricky at first but within the first hour or so you will have it down. The only part I didn't really like was the voice acting but you get used to that early on. Overall I would recommend people giving this game a try, especially since it is already at a cheaper price than other games

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wasn't what I expected Of course when I saw the trailer I thought, "hmmm, this doesn't look bad". No, it was pretty bad. The graphics are ALRIGHT but if you don't have an HDMI cable, this is another one of those games where you'll be squinting the entire time to read some description/dialog. During the dialog, the characters don't even look like they're properly moving their mouths, it's like their lips are moving and becoming smaller/bigger. They also show no emotion to match their dialog. Then there's gameplay. When you "dodge", it basically your invincible during a short movement, even if it means you jumped back through a giant fireball which is ok but there's something about the delay/cool downs/frames for each move that annoy me. The story was good enough to make me wanna try the game, but not enough to make me wanna put up with the rest of this stuff and finish the game.
