First, let's start with the good news....FINALLY, a good-looking shooter that's rated T!!!! This is a monumental thing these days, as every game coming out now has heads flying off and hearts being eaten out. Don't get wrong, I love that kind of stuff just as much as the next guy, but I'm glad to see that at least one company was smart enough to break away from the mainstream a bit, even if not by much. Now for the bad news....NO MULTIPLAYER!!???? Does anyone else see the mistake made here!!???? This game would've had some great multiplayer, but by leaving that out, I can already tell you that I'm not going to spend my hard earned money on something I'm going to beat in like a week, and then say "Well, now what??". I made that mistake with BLACK. Another great game, but the lack of multiplayer killed its replay value. All in all, I know this will be a great game, and finally something rated T, but no multiplayer will hurt it badly. Looks like a great rental though =).

This is a good fps , the aliens can be a real pain in your neck at times.....nice weapon selection. lot of cool graphics....doesn't take long to beat at all maybe 4 hours. if you like shooters put this game on your list of games to beat. haze , timeshift , army of 2 , quake wars....it seems the world of ps3 is growing more everyday. and the shooters are getting better.......................at times in blacksite area 51 my young son would find the game to spooky to continue. he said he felt like it was real. He's only 8 so I understand. I told him this is the future of gaming. Modern day fears explode onto the streets of a small American town swarming with alien life. The government is desperate, struggling to contain secrets so terrible they can no longer be kept. You are Aeran Pierce, a Special Forces assassin thrown into one of the most explosive moments in American history. Everything hinges on your actions in BlackSite: Area 51.

This game is just ok to me it's not really anything special. You play as a guy named Aeran Pierce. You always have two squad members. You order them to take down a door move to a certain cover spot or fire at a specific target. So the squad control is extremely limited. There are only six weapons a handgun sniper rifle a scatter gun which is a shotgun an alien weapon called the plasma rifle rocket launcher and a assault rifle. There is somewhat of a challenge. The graphics are ok.There is not much of a storyline.I hate the controls I hate to press R2 to fire and there is a little driving in the game so I thought you would have to press R2 nope I was wrong you have to use the you have to use L3 and R3 so that means it's kinda hard to drive. The sound is a little off when you fire your weapon it doesn't sound right.I can't play mature games so it's really hard to find a good fps.So the search goes on.I would reccomend this to your collection it's not terrible but it's ok it's one of those games that needs to be mature area 51 is mature it would have been much better if they added a little more violence.
Rated 7 out of 10 by Evoslingerr You might prefer going Resistance on this one...
I've been wanting to play a shooter that involves aliens since a long time. I was looking for Resistance, but since I live in Mexico it is sometimes complicated to get the games. Not because they're not available, but because they don't lose their original value price. For example, I saw a Bioshock being sold at 900 pesos, which would be the equivalent to $82 bucks for you guys... and here, it is... well... like 9 bucks. So... yeah, well... My first impressions of the game: It certainly doesn't look like a high budget game, however I had played other... indie-like games before, such as "Dark Sector" and everything came up smoothly. I'm having troubles adjusting to the controls... Sometimes, instead of opening doors, I throw a grenade, and almost always cook myself up. That's because you shoot with R2 and throw grenades with L1; you order special things with R1, and zoom with L2... so it's a beautiful mess. Other stuff that happens a lot has to do with the sound... it kind of gets distorted now and then... and, God, I hate games without subtitles, because generally I can't hear sht... it's because the audio tends to be horrible... General stuff: It's not bad, but... mmm, you won't love it. Aside from that, it's terribly short and sometimes quite limited... Anyway, try it... it's a lot better than some other games...

I also played the 360 demo. While it was extremely short, it did show a huge amount of potential to be an awesome shooter. The teammate A.I. looks to be pretty smart, and the "one-button does it all" command idea seems to work well. Point to the ground somewhere, and they'll cover that position. Point to a door, they breach it. However, I didn't get the chance for more complex commands like planting C4 attacking specific foes, etc. The visuals, even in the demo, look excellent. The rain effect and the gas station area look convincing. The ending moment of the demo sealed it for me. Xbox 360 owners should give it a try.

Ok, to the guy who said that they should change this game so it's rated 'M'....Go jump off a building. This game is purposely coming out rated 'T' to appeal to the younger crowd with sucky parents (like me =P). It's rated 'T', it's killing aliens, and hey, just cause there's no blood doesn't mean that college students won't buy it. I love it, and I'm glad someone still cares for the gamers in ages of 13-15 (I'm 14). Bravo to the dveloper, it looks like a great game, and I'm glad it's not insanely bloody like everything else these days =). Go play GoW or something if you want lots of blood.

I played the demo and have heard good things. Like how if you send your team into fire many time they will start to wise up and not listen to your commands. The bad thing is that the graphics and effects could be much better. Granted, that's not all that makes a game great, but there is soooooooo much stuff coming out in November that it will remain over shadowed by all the great titles. They should have either 1)came out with this game during the months when nothing was really coming out or 2)WAIT AND MAKE IT BETTER, than release it next year with all the other great games of February.
Rated 0 out of 10 by Zain should be great
I played the demo of this on the ps3 and it was very very glitchy, but thats what you would expect from a demo, "Work in progress" The game itself looks very promising and from what i could do in the demo made me pre-order it. I dislike the fact that xbox and sony are releasing so many games on both systems. xbox has pleanty of solo titles but sony has very few. Some games such as this should be sacred along with GTAIV. Ill prolly end up getting this for the 360 due to online, but i would imagine it will look much better on ps3. 5/5 stars.
Rated 10 out of 10 by darkjustice More then what expected!
this game is very fun ignore bad reviews...it reminds me of battlefield and GRAW for its graphics:) and explosions. its more then what i expected the only 2 things is that there is only about 6 weapons and u cant sprint but who needs an arsenal of weapons anyways? and not having tht many weapons gives it a more realistic feal to the game cause ur just a squad tht came from afghanistan and u dont see soldiers picking weapons during battle or loading classes its nothing searious i higly recommend it.
