Back to the Future: The Game - Full Series
Perfect BTTF continuation! (Except dull visuals)
We're going back to the past with back to the future. Telltale is a very cool game company blowing dust off restively old adventure movies and gives them cinematic sequels in game format (This one, Jurassic Park) in their interactive-movie style and being very very true to the original stories, they succeed at recreating the magic to the fullest. But it's only so so sad that they don't care to make better looking graphics. Story, directing and gameplay of this game is awesome!, but then it looks visually ugly and childish. OK, It got SOME cool design actually, but overall I really dislike the bulky cartoonish styles that has nothing to do with the movie. And it's sometimes dificult to move the characters around. But the interactivism is cool. and this is a very very cool adventure game with both brain and soul. The audio is perfect, both music and sounds. They kept Christopher Lloyd as Doc and that's cool. I guess Michael J. Fox was too old to play Marty's voice, but they used his voice later in the game for a couple of characters (like an older version of Marty) so they still have him. Some other voice acting is bad sadly, but I kind of look through that. Just because of the game captures me so much. After a while I see through the graphics as well, even though in the back of my mind I'm dreaming of 2011-graphics.. This is like the wii-version of the Ghostbusters game, where they made the game visually childish and ugly to fit the system requirements. All in all I can't express how much I love the script and how witty and smart it is. They continue to give Biff-characters a central part of the stories and that's cool. Ok, they repeat some stuff from the original movies to make people remember them, giving the script a touch of in-originality, like repeated use of Biff landing in horse manure, and misplaced uses of the "far out"-comment. Both this should stay in BTTF3. But mostly this is good writing guys and girls. A plus for the game dialogue history. (some tweaks could be made in timing here and there in the dialogue, but it's more cool than not cool I think) I could probably come up with some more pro's and con's, but now this is what I got. I love this game! Play all the episodes, the stories are great and inituative
A fairly decent game
its a good game, brings back some nostalgia, and its good for kids to get them into the series too! Its kind of mystery styled, which is kind of cool though the movements are rather blocky
there's only one reason you should buy this game.
Nostalgia. Pure nostalgia. That's it. If you haven't seen the movies, then you probably won't like this, but for true fans of the Back to the Future series, this is a must buy. Sure the graphics suck, and the voice acting is cheesy(except for Doc and Marty of course) but that's not the point of this game. Like I said, Nostalgia. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who liked the movies.
Ep.1 was pretty good but Ep. 2 never came?!
Ep,1 was fun. Not so much that I'd go back and play it again but fun. Nice to see and hear Marty and Doc.
Finished Ep.1 but never received Ep.2 from Telltale Games. I went to the PlayStation store but no joy. I wrote Telltale but no joy. I bought the whole package (all episodes) but now I just want my money back. Bad customer service tarnishes a pretty good game. Sucks.
A Great Continuation For The Movie Trilogy!
I was a huge fan of the movies, and I wanted to see what Talltell would bring to the fans. The game is an adventure game similar to Sam and Max. Episode 1 has a good story line following the ending of the third movie. This game has its share of funny camera angles, which makes it hard to move and see what is around to interact with your environment. There are some situations that are a little tricky to figure out, but the game offers some hints to help you get through the episode. Overall, the game has a very interactive story line that includes the Tannens, up to their evil ways. Talltell also tried to stick with the movies original cast to give it that Back to the Future feel, which was something that I really enjoyed. If you are fan of the trilogy and want a little more, this game is a good way to continue the story of Marty and Doc.
