Product Details:

Aliens vs Predator is an entirely new title for PC and high-definition consoles from acclaimed British developer Rebellion, the team behind the 1999 original PC gaming classic. Bringing the legendary war between two of science-fiction's most popular characters to FPS fans, AvP delivers three outstanding single player campaigns and provides untold hours of unique 3-way multiplayer gaming. Experience distinctly new and thrilling first person gameplay as you survive, hunt and prey in the deadly jungles and swamps surrounding the damned colony of Freya's Prospect.

  • As the Marine, you'll experience a claustrophobic and terrifying experience where light is your friend, but there's never enough. However, the United States Marine Corps are humanity's last line of defence, and as such they are armed to the teeth with the very latest in high explosive and automatic weaponry.
  • As the Predator, you will stalk from the shadows and from above, passing athletically through the treetops to ambush your victims. Although equipped with an array of powerful, exotic weapons and tracking equipment, honour ultimately dictates that you must get in close and take your trophies face to face.
  • As the most deadly species in the universe, the Alien offers you the chance to play as the very stuff of nightmares - the monster in the dark swarming forward with countless others, jaws like a steel trap and claws like blades.
  • Play all sides off against each other in a series of unique 3-way online modes and go tooth-to-claw-to-pulse rifle in the reinvention of one of multiplayer gaming's defining moments.

Game Informer Rating:

Rated 5.8 out of 10 by Game Informer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True experience for the universe of these series. Great game after you get used to the controls for each group. Never truly feel overpowered or underpowered when facing anyone. Only kept to the single player as that felt like the best experience for this style. Down o personal opinion as it truly feels like you get to live in that universe while playing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for people who are new AvP fans or Collectors Okay so despite this game being out for a couple of years now I have decided to put out a review to help people decide. This game is not like the original AvP games as far as the feeling, but if you are new or a collector of AvP items/games then this is good for you, also if you understand that this is not a game based on any movies like Alien(s) then you have a brain and should get it. If you're expecting the most top notch graphics and most amazing adrenalin CODtard jockey(lol no pun intended on the "Jockey" part.) then this is not for you, try Aliens:Colonial Marines -_-. Out of 10 I give this game a 6 only because it cannot match up to the old school AvP games in any way as far as environments, tension, and most of all that "OH *QUACK*" feeling you get when you have three bullets left and you got to fight ten more xenomorphs or track fire on a predator that is about to put a combi-stick up your rear like Vlad the impaler(meep). However that is the only complaint, as far as graphics, game play, sound, and those sweet executions goes it was a very fun game to play and gives re-playability to a limited extent but non-the less a form of re-playability. The Nightmare difficulty actually makes the game challenging unlike most games where the hardest setting does literally nothing or maybe make enemies tougher at best. So there you have it, if you are new to the AvP world or want a good game to add to your collection then pick this one up, at it's price it's a an amazing deal and should at least have a place on anyone's shelf for the sake of keepsake if you're into that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Personally I believe this game is a hit.Nice graphics,Good sound,Excellent story arc(all three of the campaigns),and ultimately,Just a good incentive to watch the movie. The graphics on my hi-sense T.V (when turned to vivid mode) are freakin' mind-blowing,the sound is excellent but could use more background noise-birds,bees,deer<or even the sounds of other fights happening on the colony. My favorite campaign is the predators.you cant go wrong with the shoulder-blast cannon thing and the thrill of using the wrist mounted blades is excellent. The controls are tight and the Predators helmet is excellent. You can switch view modes with the press of a button.Overall, buy the game, see for yourself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bring It Back Gamer Review & Expectations: Ok, personally I have never seen or played any game or movie related to the franchises Aliens or Predators. However, I have talked several hours about the particular topics, so I know a little bit on what I'm dealing with. Now, I grew up with SEGA, I mean my very first consle was a SEGA GENISIS, and SEGA has come pretty far since the day I was born, and when it comes to REBELLiON I don't know to much about this company so this will be something new for me. Overall, I'm not expecting alot from this game, I'm just expecting something from it. Gameplay outside of combat: i.Marine- The gameplay is very intense, you will be on the edge of your seat while you play. As the Marine, you feel very cornered, it's like you verses the world. The worst part is, your enemies pop out of no where, so you got to react fast, which makes the game amazing. ii.Alien & Predator- Now when it comes to this, these two races have so much in common outside of combat I'd thought I'd put them in the same column. Now for these two they're often about patience and planning. (apparently marines are to stupid to understand this, -_- that's why your alone all the time as Rookie)It's just wait and pounce, wait and pounce, it's like your the Big Cheese and everyone's your prey. Gameplay inside of combat: iii. This I liked alot, no favoritism. The three characters are equally as badass as the next. I like this factor because the game itself has so many difficulty settings, and if they made one character easier to use then the others, the game most likely would be boring, confusing, and later on predictable. Gameplay Online: Marine- Exactly like single player, The gameplay is very intense, you will be on the edge of your seat while you play. As the Marine, you feel very cornered, it's like you verses the world. Alien and Predator- When you play as these two races you don't feel as power as you did in the story mode. However if your skilled with these races you can make your opponents death quick and painful. Shenanigans Alien's plot-mission 1, Objective-Open the Monorail Station doors to allow the Queen to escape, in the computer room where you open the Monorail Station doors to complete the mission. This is the location where I noticed this, near the walls of this room are rails and for some reason you can walk through them. I went through the mission and found this applys to all rails. Alien's plot-mission Jungle, Objective-Cut the power to electrified fence, the base right directly in front of you is where I noticed this, within the base there are telephone poles, apparently you can jump through some of these poles. (Normaly I wouldnt care when it comes to these shenanigans. However, it seems to only apply to this one race.) If you perform a grab attack on an enemy close enough to a wall, you and your enemy will most likely go through that wall. Happen to me on multiple occasions, so most likely it will happen again. I hate how the system works for the aliens when it comes to climbing, its very rough and confusing, it's very easy to lose where you are. The NPCs make it look so easy. Marine's plot mission Research Lab, Objective-Escort Tequila to Administrator Katya, inside when you're about to be attacked by Weyland's Robot Guard Wave 2, this wave arrives on the train, and this is the location where I noticed this. Apparently Tequila can't die so if she falls down onto the tracks, she won't die from it and if she is hit by the train she wont die from that either. However, she will go into a state to were she is walking or running in place because she can't move. When and if this happens you will have to restart the mission if you did NOT reach the checkpoint on the train, if you did you can restart at last checkpoint.
