PS3 WWE All Stars Brawl Stick
Slightly improved SE, but it's still a SE...
This is the first ball-top arcade stick that I actually tried to learn on. I've started playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 with this stick and I get pretty much every input I ask for aside from a few I drop because I'm just learning how to play on stick. Some of the problems that the SFIV SE had are still there in this new SE, but they're aren't quite as outstanding, making it quite possible to work with this SE in high level play with all of the standard parts in it. One thing I definitely noticed, although this could just be a problem specific to the stick I'm using, is there's a quite noticeable deadzone in the up-diagonal inputs on the joystick and even a friend of mine who has used a stick for years took notice to it when he wasn't jumping when he wanted to at times. The reason why I still give this stick a high rating in all categories is because although it may not perform THE absolute best straight out of the box, it still performs well enough to be utilized efficiently and if you REALLY need the most precision and performance out of the SE, there's plenty of websites that offer parts from Sanwa and Seimitsu that can VERY easily be swapped with the SE's standard buttons and joystick to suit your playstyle needs. Overall if you want an entry level stick that you can customize to your liking (there's plenty of sites with tutorials for prettifying your stick and the simplest mods only require a screwdriver) and will last you a long time, this SE Brawlstick is the way to go if you can't afford a Tournament Edition arcade stick.
This should be a quality joystick!
Read somewhere else (confirmed by a Madcatz rep) compared to the Streetfigher SE fightstick (same casing), it has a better joystick lever & pushbuttons just like in the Wii version (Tatsunoko vs Capcom fightstick). Near Sanwa quality parts! Kinda expensive but should drop in price eventually just like everything else.
