PS3 Controller RockCandy
Works just fine if you have a little patience.
First off, before you guys whine about how it doesn't work, pick it up and HOLD down the home button for a few seconds. There. Problem solved. Still doesn't turn on? Ok, it's a bum deal. Take it back. Moving on, my boyfriend picked one of these up for me on a whim after a game we previously bought to play together had been collecting dust for months because we never bothered to get a second remote. So he brings this home, I crack open the package and find it needs batteries. Ok, fine, not a huge deal, I can live with that. I just might have to get some rechargeables at some point. I plug in the receiver, hit the home button, it turns on. Huzzah. I goof off on Disney Infinity for a couple hours with no problems whatsoever. I actually find that I enjoy using this remote more than the original sony one. Boyfriend tries it for a bit and comes to the same conclusion. So other than the battery thing (and not being able to turn the system on and off with it but seriously just get off your backside and turn the thing on), this remote's pretty sweet (no pun intended). Well worth the money, considering everything craps out eventually, even 1st party equipment. So I'd rather shell out twenty or thirty bucks than, fifty, sixty, seventy plus.
overall id buy rockcandy instead of anyone else
the shape of the triggers are nice they are better than the regular ps3 triggers. u can hear the click of the L3 and R3 buttons. personally i love the controller. it would be better if u had to charge it with the controller cord instead of using batterys and a microchip. or just using a microchip thats also like a battery to the controller. other than that the controller has a great performance, works well and is better than regular ps3 controllers
Quit working after one week
Product quit working after one week. No problems before the day it stopped, but when the controller died, it died.
This remote is perfect for the PS3 player who likes the Xbox360 design. It is a wired remote that has alot of cord length and would be perfect for kids who don't like to charge thier remote. I did get this remote cheaper from PDP, but $19.99 is still a good price for a great controller.
My main gripe is that the right thumbstick is not 1 to 1 on the Y and X axis. I use this for FPS games such as Black Ops 2. Left and right are very quick whereas up and down are about half the speed of left and right. It completely sucks for aiming in FPS games. If you need it to play non-twitch games you'll be okay with this controller. Also the L1 and R1 triggers stick all the time. Again, if it is FPS games you play, this controller will suck for them. The only reason I got it is because I am waiting for the PS4 and I'll move away from this. Overall, I do not recommend this controller if you are considering it for long term use.
Tried this with 2 brand new AA batteries, and 2 fully charged rechargeable batteries. The USB flashes but the controller doesn't work. Useless, returning ASAP.
This controller worked fine until it shut off two months after purchase, and would not come back on. I put fresh batteries in but still got nothing. I had two of these controllers and they both went out the same way, and I take very good care of my stuff, I didn't drop it or throw it or damage it in anyway. Take your 30 dollars somewhere else and save yourself some heartache
