PlayStation Move Charge Station Quad
Looks pretty good for its function
I think that despite the fact that NYKO's PS3 Move charger would look cooler with blue holders instead of red, it gets the job done without using three/four separate usb ports(believe me, no one likes a clutter of cables hanging from their PS3s). I can definitely see myself purchasing this item.
Great Charger! Great Price
Mainly writing this review to let people know that it does work unlike what the other person reviewing say's it does not. I got mine for Christmas as well and I have been loving it. It charges the controllers fairly fast and changes color when it is done. What I really love about this charger is that is has an on/off button on the front of it so you don't overcharge the batteries when you are not using them.
If you are looking for an charger this is by far the best one I have tried and I have been through 3 before this one.
Haven't made up my mind yet.....
I haven't decided if this is the right charger or not. 1) I think it looks cool, multicolored tubes (but should be green for fully charged), 2) I like the price for charging 4 controllers at a time, and either navigator or move controller in any port, but..... I purchased the unit, the Sports Bundle for Move and a navigator on Monday. I plugged everything in and love the Move system playing KillZone 3, but.... when I put the move controller and navigator in the charging tubes both were red indicating charging and the little led on the bottom of both devices were plashing red meaning "charging". Ok, great, I'm going to be fully charged??? I came down stairs the next evening and noticed that the tube with the navigator was white (fully charged) but the tube with the move controller was (red) and the led was still flashing on the controller. I swithced the controller and navigator to a different tube, and then went about my business hoping I don't have a faulty product. I came back about 3 hours later, and the tube with the navigator was white, and the tube with the controller was still red. Now, this has been charging for what, 18-24 hours without interruption. I then called Gamestop, who gave me Sony's number. I called Sony, 1st problem, you got it, Sony can't help me with the charger, so they told me to plug in the controller with the usb cable and it should take 5 hours, no longer than 10 hours, to fully charge the controller, so I will go home and do that. But... as of right now I would reccomend sticking with Sony products to get the best support!! More to follow....
Did not charge.
Recieved this for Christmas. Appeared to function fine (lights came on indicating chargeing status),however, would never charge the controllers. I swapped two seperate move controllers to all of of the chargeing ports without success. May have just been that the one I recieved was bad, but buying a name brand charger proved to be a better idea. I only buy name brand chargers for this reason. Don't get me wrong, this is a great idea (4 ports), but just be forwarned that the less established brand may mean problems. Gamestop employee said Nyko seemed to be the first company attempting the 4 port system and that it may have been rushed out for the Holiday season without proper testing.
Works for my family
I bought this charger for Christmas and haven't had to worry about it since. My kids (ages 9 and 5) sometimes have trouble loading in the Move controllers properly, so that the red light comes on. When that happens, I just do it for them. Other than that, it works perfectly.
Cool Charger for 4 wands.
I got this after i got my PS3 w/ move bundle for christmas. It's alright. It charges the wands, and sometimes the light would flicker from red to white. (Red means that its charging, and White means that its done charging). It's a pretty cool display of how it glows red or white. So far it hasn't broke or anything. I can charge all of my 4 wands at the same time now :D
