After playing Mortal Kombat 9 for a while, I recently got Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition for the PS3 and I was having a terrible time doing a lot of the specials. The 180, 360, and 720 rotations were near impossible on the DuelShock controller, so I called my local GameStop looking for a fightstick. They didn't have any, so, instead, I was suggested this bad boy. All I have to say is that this is one amazing controller! The analog nub is amazingly smooth and responsive. The buttons have a great feel to them along with some good spacing. The shape feels good and the controller itself is very light! My only complaints are that my controller started getting a squeak every time I pushed the analog nub down, and the R1 button is a bit more curved than the other buttons which makes it noticeably different when you push it. It feels almost like you didn't quite push it all the way down, but I promise it still works great! I would recommend this to any fighting game lover. This works amazingly well with SSF4 and Marvel Vs. Capcom. I personally don't like it too much with MK9, because that game is not rotation based like SSF4, but it still works very well and I'm sure plenty would find good reason to use it with MK9.

This controller was a bit of a scary purchase for me. I was unsure if it'd work well for MK9 due to the fact that I liked playing more with the D-Pad because it was easier for me to perform combos, but believe it or not, it works like a charm. Even easier. The stick clicks as you rotate it or move it in any direction which was a huge help believe it or not. You get the sense that what you're doing, is well, what you're doing! The worst part about this controller, is without a doubt the L2 and R2 buttons. It can be a bit of a hassle when doing to Test Your Might/Luck. You have to hold the controller in an odd way, but it's super easier to get to the top of the bar. This controller is really smooth though. That's my biggest complaint, the triggers can be hard to press at times. Especially when you're in the midst of Kombat and need to block out of nowhere. Besides that, it's great! Doesn't feel cheap in the least bit. Oh, also, when it comes to the new MK:Arcade Kollection, I tend to have problems performing fatalities. The controller, or possibly the game, OR I possibly just suck at performing the old skool ones, can be a bit picky. I can't tell you how many times I think I do it right, and he just falls over. Lol, anways, definatly worth the buy.

This controller performs just as good as my friends Hori, but the microswitches will die after about a months worth of use and are a pain to replace. I bought this on a whim because I was fed up with getting blisters from playing Blazblue with a Dualshock 3. At $15, I'm not to upset at it breaking so soon, but you can get much better for the same price range. If your serious about getting a fightpad or fightstick, check the buyers guide on Shoryuken or Dustloop (the two largest fighting game communities.)
