PlayStation 3 Bluetooth Headset
ONE little PROBLEM
This mic is nothing less than the best... It is a very good mic, due to the sound, and the way other people can hear you... I play COD MW, and MW2 and it is relatively noisy, and everyone can hear me, and i can hear everyone else. The only problem is that it is not the most comfortable mic around.. But your ear will adapt after 3 hours of gameplay... The battery life is AMAZINGLY long... I have had this headset for 1-2 years now, and i am an ALL NIGHT/ALL DAY player, and I have never had this mic go dead on me...
Good but could be better!
I enjoy this mic at times but most of the time it isnt that comfortable, i bought it with my PS3 and easily realized that i dont like the comfort at all, but i deal with and dont weep over it, i like the xbox wireless headset a lot more because it is more comfortable. The mics comfort isnt good, at all, some will like but i dont see many will, it kinda maked ur inner ear hurt because it is kinda like a headphone... I love how it looks, a lot. it has a nice sleek look and looks like somethin in a movie. Ive had it for about a month dropped it here and there on carpet and no problems, works fine. Another downer about it is that ive had lots of trouble getting it to sync to my ps3 which is annoying and frustrating, i had to read tha manual and never worked, finally one day it just connected. Sound quality is good not amazing! In the end it gets the job done but i find my self hardly wearing it because it isnt comfortable to me. I give it a 7 overall because of comfort everything else is a pass
i got this headset like a couple months ago.. when i first got it i liked it a lot... i used it 24/7...thats when it started to hurt my ear a little bit, but i didnt mind it.. then it started acting weird, such as people couldnt hear me and i couldnt hear them....then thats when everything went down hill....one day i decided to play a little mw2..pick up my headset, tuned it on, but it didnt turn on...i thought to myself, i just charged this last night.. hmmm might left it on by accident. so i put it in the charger.. blinks red like normal but a little faster and would stop after 8 blinks... so now it wont turn on or charge....but i didnt drop on it, didnt step on it, didnt do anything harmfull to it except sitt it on my dresser......so no more headset.....if your looking for a good headset this is an ok one i liked it untill it broke for no reason...but i did look into it....this problem has happened to a lot of people who has this model... so if you do get it be prepared......
best headset for gaming
This headset has the best quality in voice i have ever seen. In standard mode its great, in high quality mode its phenomenal. I keep seeing people complaining that is uncomfortable for driving and actual activities, but its a gaming headset which means that its for just sitting there staring at the tv. The earpiece is customizable as it can bend and stay bent to fit you ear. The mute button is the biggest plus for the headset because lets say some one walks in during a game with an open mic system like call of duty 4, then they say something embarrassing like i bought you those pajamas u wanted with the bunnies. You just press the mute button. Talk, then when they leave you un-mute. What does suck about the headset which doesn't bother at all is that its extremely sensitive to sound it can pick up some noises from across the room. You don't need to wear the headset as you can use it while its on its stand and output the sound through your tv that's when the sensitivity is good.
Ok, so I've had this headset for about 1 month now, and it's had it's ups and downs! The Good: The Comfort is good despite, what the other reviews say it hangs off my ear. Most people understand what I'm saying, otherwise they say it sounds like mumbling. A let's say "oversized" mute button that always helps. The battery life is really good, I fell asleep in it once while I was using my phone, when I woke up, the headset was still working fine. I don't have to talk that loud. Easily pairs. I like the stand it comes with. The Bad: Having trouble charging my headset. (because I'm always using it while i play my PS3) The small USB cable that doesn't look good on my PS3 because it faces to the left instead of the front. The Overall: I would recommend this item to anybody who wants a nice headset that sounds clear on the other line, that also easily pairs, and has a useful mute button. This item (in my opinion) is worth your money, and I think that the big bonus is that it also connects to my phone.
PS3 Blue Tooth Head Set
I was debating which headset/mic to get for my PS3 Slim, and came on here to read the reviews. I was almost scared to buy the Sony Blue Tooth headset/mic, and was waiting to make a decision before my wife came home with one. I am very pleased with it. Ive had it for over a month and it works GREAT. Setting it up could have been easier, but after going online I found a easy way to sync it with my PS3. I Think the big bonus is it works with my cell phone, which is pretty awesome. I take it to work with me and bring it home and use it as well. Has good charge time and standby time, but make sure you give it full charge before your first use. The comfort is pretty good as long as you leave it alone. It can get a little sore after 3 hours, but you can easily flip over the clip and put it in your other ear. Sound quality is good, and never had a problem with anyone hearing me. I play a lot of GTA4 and Call Of Duty online and it works great. Glad I didnt buy the Logictech, or the more higher end headsets, this one I would buy again.
Way better than the others
I recently bought a cheaper version available of the same headset and it was terribly uncomfortable and my friends could barely hear me and I also had the volume at max and could not hear them, anyway I promptly returned the item and bought this one. After several hours of playing it can become a little uncomfortable but if you cut the volume up a little in the game options you can lay it against the outside of your ear and it works fine, I could hear very clearly and everyone could understand me as well. Even for the extra cost I would recommend purchasing this product above all others you have to go substantially higher in price to get equal clarity and you may find one cheaper out there but don't waste your money because you won't be happy
WORTH THE $55
this headset when i bought this headset i was unsure about it working. then that alost came true when i hooked it up wrong. but then when i first used it i fell in love. all i did from then on i just turned it on as soon as my ps3 came on. its not the most comfortable thing ever but you get used to it after 10 minute. good sound clear sound too. every body can hear me clearly. i reccimendthis to everybody and it is worth the $55. so go buy it.......NOW!
i got this headset when it was only available as a combo deal with the poor game Socom confrontation almost 2 years ago.. now my ear piece that holds onto the ear is broken it oddly enough still stays in when i use it, the sound quality is extremely far better then i seen other headsets. voice clarity is very suburb it picks up a lot of sound around u very clearly if you want sound to be heard for others, works for phone too but i never used it for my phone.
i personally still love my headset and I'm very picky what i choose, i chose that metal gear solid one, and wasn't to thrilled about it, it broke within 3months of getting it so i ended up getting this and i would HIGHLY recommend this one over any other headset/mic for console video games
Receives a 10 for casual gamers
I am a hardcore gamer, Call of Duty, Dead Space, Borderlands. I have not invested in a Turtle Beach or Astro headset but I survive. For a casual gamer that just wants to be able to hear their friends and talk, this is perfect. Simple setup and good battery life. The mute function on the side makes it easy to turn the mic off. And you can turn the sound input on the top and bottom of the mic (how loud your friends are.) I shall say again, if you are a hardcore gamer, buy a gaming headset but for simple communication this is perfect. The only reason I bought this was because my wired headset had a short in the wire to wear I could not hear my friends in the headset, but I could still talk. That headset cost $25 roughly which makes sense now.
