Well, if SVR 2011 is anything like the PS3 version of Smackdown vs Raw 2010 , then its a MAJOR improvement. SVR 2010 on the PS2 was OK...Graphic were done well, gameplay was done well, but the camera cuts when getting out of the ring were'nt okay. It was like looking at half the action. Unless you're like Khali, it was very hard to see what was going. In the 360 and PS3 version of last years installment the graphics were nearly perfect. 60 chops to the upper body = A BEAT RED CHEST! And when an opponent is bloodied, it drips on you, as well as objects you hit them with. If the PS2 installment of SVR 2011 is anything like this, it would be the perfect game. Match types would also be a great improvement to the newest game. I quit matches, Casket Matches, Buried alive matches, are also examples. Hopefully SVR 2011 isnt as bad as last years videogame.

Rated 10 out of 10 by xWBx Best wrestling game ever made so far.
Best Wrestling game ever made so far. The graphics look good especially considering i am still playing on da ps2 only becuz i can't afford a new system at this time. The game play is good the only thing i have a problem with is that some times it freezes but other than that this defiantly a great game. As well as the sound it is also good but i do have a little problem with that and that is sometimes the commentary isn't as accurate as say SvR2010. Also when i was playin RTWM and i talked to CM Punk but there was no sound also when CM Punk had his entrance going there was no sound. But there was sound for my entrance other then that i have no problem. My opinion still stands as best wrestling game ever made so far and is defiantly worth the buy.
Rated 10 out of 10 by MikeDog Awesome with some flaws
I personally like everything about the game except a couple things. The voice overs of Michael Cole and Jerry "the King" Lawler are sometimes wrong. Sometimes I use a chokeslam with the Undertaker and Michael Cole says that he is using the Hells Gate submission. One of the other things are that sometimes wwe universe makes the good guys go bad out of no where like if I am in a tag team match and WWE Universe makes my partner go bad and betray me. Another thing is the music in the main menu. I don't like how you can't manually change the music if you don't like the song. Other than those few things, the game is awesome. Graphics are good, gameplay is good (especially create modes), and Road to wrestlemania is pretty good except I wish that you could choose anyone on the wwe roster in road to wrestlemania. One other thing is that I wish you could create tag team moves and create different attire for your created superstar so that when you choose your created superstar in the character select screen you could choose different attire for them when you want. Plus, it wouldn't hurt if it actually displays the created superstars face and clothing when choosing them on the character select screen. Otherwise, buy this game. It's an amazing game.
Rated 5 out of 10 by MrFunk Average in most respects
A fun game in its own right, but unfortunately the series has not been new or innovative since the days of SVR 06 and then 08. Everything feels stale and outdated with the only upsides being the sound track and create a wrestler, but even create a wrestler feels old with little to no new updates. Overal a fun title, but the fun quickly fades as it starts to feel exactlly like its predecessors. The gameplay is decent but far too easy even on legend mode, namely due to a 1 button reversal system instead of 2. Worth buying if u dont otherwise own a SVR game or if theres a large enough gap in ur collection, otherwise its best avoided. Atleast until the gameplay on future games recieves a massive revision.
Rated 10 out of 10 by punisher20 What i wanted in a wrestling game
First of all the free roam is very cool i have the ps2 version its pretty good. The entrances are usually good and the reversal is simpler in this one. The only thing i hated about this is the crowd's reaction and cheers. In SVR 2010 the crowd reaction was 100 times better than the reaction in this one. There are tons of superstars in this one and a lot of matches. There are many more superstars to be unlocked. I think road to wrestle-mania should of included undertaker and more superstars in it rather than fighting against him. O yeah what happened to regular career mode like the SVR 2010 come on did Yukes Yokohama forgot that geez.. Overall the game is worth buying.
Rated 8 out of 10 by Hawk26 Next-Gen Version is WAY Better!
Theres NO superstar threads for the ps2 version which is a big thumbs down. Theres no create-an-entrance and the create-a-superstar options are scaled down significantly. The biggest disappointment would have to be the obvious lack of effort put into the character models faces, CM Punk being the most obvious his face looks HORRIBLE and his facial hair looks badly pasted on to his face. Overall it is better than previous svr games on the ps2 but THQ should'nt have bothered to make a ps2 version if they werent going to put in the necessary effort to make this version as good as the ps3 or 360 versions.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Klyde Buy this if you are a fan.
Smackdown vs Raw 2011 , I loved it but the lacking of characters is just a down fall. I hated it when they didn't include Layla because she is very important to the tag team Laycool. No Chris Masters even though his name is on the Road to Wrestlemania. Speaking of RtWR , There is no Diva to represent it. I understand why the new superstars like Jimmy and Jey Uso and Tamina , The Nexus and NXT aren't there because they made this way long before that happened. If you are a huge fan of WWE , you should buy this because of WWE Universe. So many interesting stuff about that.
