Smackdown vs Raw 2009 will be the best they have ever done!!! 2006, 2007, 2008 was ok but, they really could have done just a bit better. They could have had more wrestlers on all of them like on 2008, they should have put more ecw people and more hardcore matches. They should be able to smash people on tables while it was on fire, they should had been able to carry the fight all around the arena.( in the crowd more, to the back stage, in the locker rooms, ect.) The graphics had blew my mind off on 2008 and 2007, but when I heard about 2009 coming out... I WENT CRAZY!!! The new tag team story mode, Road to Wrestle Mania, and the new create your own finisher for your created superstar!!!! The graphics looks amazing, more new superstars! What can get better than that?!? I wish that they will keep Smackdown vs Raw going but I know that they made my wrestling game a ride of a life time! Oh, and I am looking fordwards to fighting you guys that are going to be on online Tag Team!

For such a game, you would like this game if you want to just kick back with your friends and bust some butt. Perfect game. But for actual play, sitting back in your bedroom and enjoying a story mode including divas action in them, not the right game, well not for this system. This game is boring on the PS2. Career mode, is basically boring. You waste your loving time to fight other superstars and win titles. But no story mode. We all love GM Mode. This game pretty much does not have that mode. You basically fight. Unless you want to go through exhibition mode and play GM Mode in your head. Just by this game play, you can tell that PS2 Games are not getting anywhere no more. PS2 Systems are leaving the market. Not getting anywhere. You can also tell that the games for PS2 are not being done the way you would like them. Overrall, Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 is best played on the 360. For best result in graphics and good game play, try the 360, not the PS3. Even though the PS3, it really doesnt matter.

i just recently bought this game i have the xbox 360 version.the graphics are way better.they also added inferno match and the highlight reel.1 thing is that its kinda the same as svr08 also they added the downloadable content . thq should have let it be unlockable stuff i mean what if you dont have a computer.one morething is the road to wrestlmania mode it is better than what 08 had i mean everything in 24/7 kept reapeting . i like that they added creat a finisher.defenetley buy this game if your a wrestling fan.trust me do not buy the tna game its like an arcade game and they dont even have tables just chairs.TNA SUCKS .this game is still missing a few thigs like they should add creat a titantron and they shood of left the other creating options like the creat a championship and also they dont have legends i mean i wanted the rock ,stone cold, bret hart.but no you have to get there new game called legends of wrestlemania.usually the legend games suck finally the game could still be a little better

I got this game for christmas and i think overall its ok. Like most other games of the kind, it still lacks some common sense. I mean, how on earth could rey mysterio pick up big daddy v?! The entrances are a little off but good. The game has great graphics. But i still question the camera angles. You could barely see yourself when your outside of the ring! I think the "create your own finisher" is a greast addition for the game. It has an excellent choice of front moves but not moves like on the turnbuckle or behind the opponent. I like the creativity in the "road to wrestlemania" mode. I also think the two player co-op mode was great too, but i just wish we could just have a better selection of teams. And i think some of the character's personalities is off, like brian kentrick is on smackdown! but it's the kind that sprints to the ring. I thought it would be better, but this is still a fun game and a great addition to the smackdown vs raw game series.

The Smackdown series has been around a good while now and this game seemed stripped down. In this version they actually took matches out and it confused me as to why. The addition of Inferno Match was awesome and works quite well. The Road to Wrestlemania mode was a nice diversion and the storylines albeit short were some of the best ever in a wrestling game. The career mode I thought was a pure joke. There is a good selection of wrestlers and they look like they do in real life. I have always felt that the Smackdown series has done a good job capturing the look and feel of the WWE and this game is no different. Even with a lot of matches taken out there is still enough fun to be had in this game. If you are a die hard wrestling fan or Smackdown fan you could do a lot worse than this.

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2009 lacks in many aspects, like Hell in a Cell no longer has the Sledge Hammer or any other weapon besides the Ring Bell or Title Belt, which makes it a little boring. The Inferno Match has yet to wow me. Create A Superstar lost a lot of attire which was very disappointing, and the Create A Finisher is just created moves with a twist. They still don't have all the Stars in it, just a select few, and no longer have many Legends, unless you think Rick Flair is the ONLY legend. Although the comentaters seem to know more about what's going on in the ring. The fact of the matter is don't waste your money because it's the Latest and Questionably Greatest. Basically it's just WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008 with a Roster update and a new match to keep you wanting more. All in all the game play is pretty much what we all expected... Lack Luster. Lets just pray the Next-Gen version is better.

. The Road to Wrestlemania mode was a nice diversion and the storylines albeit short were some of the best ever in a wrestling game. This game is the best Smackdown vs. Raw game so far. My only complaint is the camera angles. When outside of the ring you can't see your opponent or your character. There's 53 different characters to use so you never get bored. The best part is that rey mysterio can pick up big show no problem. Most of the superstars in the WWE now are in the game. The controls are extremely easy to use and the graphics are top notch. The controls are extremely easy to use and the graphics are top notch. The difficulty for the game can be changed. but if you have played for a while even the hardest setting becomes quite easy. I hope in the next versions more characters and match types are included. Also, Hornswaggle becomes available as a manager only.

If you just wanna have some fun and play some exhibition matches with your friends, then this is the right game for you. But if you are a gamer like me, who want an in depth career mode or something of that sort, you're out of luck. Career mode is very stupid where you just play a lot of matches without any kind of story. Road to Wrestlemania is a little better. They made different story lines for 6 different superstars. But the sad part is that it starts from Royal Rumble and ends at Wrestlemania. So, you have about 10 weeks, a mere 10 matches to fight. There's not a lot of cutscenes. The story is interesting, but they're way tooo short. You can finish one storyline in 1-2 hours. Also, there's no diva presence in the road to wrestlemania which makes it kinda boring. It's an OK game...but i would've preferred it to be a longer story mode.
Rated 7 out of 10 by fun game but same game GSstreet35
This game is pretty good. I have the ps3 version so of course the graphics is going to be a lot better. This game is almost exactly the same as svr 08 except the commentary is a lot better. There's couple of new matches and some of the wrestler has better looking finisher than before. The roster is little bigger than svr 08. That's all i have to say about this game so if your into the smackdown series give this one a look or even if you like wrestling. This is the same as 08 just a little improvement but not much. But overall this game deserves a 6.0/10 it is that good. The game play could be a little repetitive but it still fun. The story mode is a little improvement over last year's horrible 24/7 mode which i wouldn't even call it a story mode. Also one more thing if you hate svr 08 get this one a rental cause like i said is a little improvement.

Hi, I am worried about this game and it hasnt even been released yet. But it looks to continue in the same crappy trend as svr2008 did. They hasnt been a decent smackdown game since svr2006, I am already worried about this game for multiple reasons: 1. The game will be focused totaly on Tag Team Matches, with new Tag Team Finishers, momentum bars, and only be able to win a match bye doing a tag team fininshing move. 2. The new season mode is now called Road to Wrestlemania: Dont know if you can still play single player by yourself or if it is a tag team deal now. Also confirmed is a MMP season mode, still no details if the divas will be playable or if it is for a CAW only. 3. New Features: CAFM may be way to complicated, New Match Types, Expanded Roster biggest in smackdown history. Rebust AI Engine that has been built from the ground up. Also expect new controls also probably new styles and also a new RPG Thing that will be implented into the game. It will let you to missions to unlock stuff, weapons so on and so forth. Also the new Titontrons are also in. 4. Confirmed Wrestlers: Jeff & Matt Hardy, Kennedy, Orton, Jericho, Batista, & HHH.
