Rated 10 out of 10 by thewholedamshow06 better than 08 and 09
This game is beast! The graphics are almost as good as 08 and the storyline is way deeper. Plus it has so much better legends than the other SvR games like Mr. Perfect, Mankind, and Jim Neidhart. The stamina system gets kind of annoying , but you'll get used to it or you could turn off stamina at the options menu. It's awesome how you can walk around the locker room and challenge mode is fun, except for the special challenge where you're mickie james and face the great khali. 08's controls r better, but these are still good. The music is ok and the sound is good. If you want a challenge out of this game you should set the difficulty to legend, otherwise its pretty easy. Oh and general manager mode is fun. You can customize any superstar's attributes in gm mode if you've earned enough exp. with them. I was very disappointed with 08 and 09 and because of that this is probably the best Smackdown vs. Raw game.
Rated 8 out of 10 by Devvy good game but will get annoying & boring over time
I love the SVR games but I noticed a few glitches with this one. The commentary say things that do not even match what is going on in the ring. Also, the music for the menu gets annoying VERY quickly (and as a warning, there are really no good songs). The controls are also a bit weird for me because I'm used to the regular X and O button attacks/grapple. I will admit that it is overall a good game though. The graphics are fabulous, better than any of the other games I own (which is mostly before 2007). The hardcore matches are an improvement now that players are allowed to go to the crowd area and fight. The brand new locker room feature is pretty cool. Season is okay this time around, but it seems like it will be the same as it was from the first SVR. Overall, I would recommend this game but after some time of playing it, I know I'm going to get bored of it.
Rated 9 out of 10 by paul210zakiyyah The best SVR period
This game is way better than 08 and 09 the gameplay is really great, tables are cool because you can double stack tables, hell in the cell matches are wicked because you can do the last ride with The Undertaker off the cell, this game also has Eddie Guerrero, and my favorite Stone Cold. The announcers are dumb but you can turn them off and the stamina also. The season is cool and in depth, create a wrestler is better than 08 and 09 because you can unlock infinite point for your create a wrestler. Money in the bank is really hard on legend mode. challenges are tuff. But the overall wrestling in the game is untouched and the best compared with other so called next gen wrestling games. TNA Impact is also great too. SVR 07 bring out the best and wrestling and gameplay. Buy this game don't get 08 0r 09. SVR 06 and SVR are also great games. thx.
Rated 10 out of 10 by SONYFANBOY What I think?
I find the game fun, challenging, yet easy to master in just seconds. The games graphics are nice and well the for PS2 it looks decent nothing special a few things look the same like the fans and the equipment are still about the same. I hate the fact that the announcer A.K.A. Jerry the King and J.R. still say the same stupid catch phases. The moves are cool the grappling is just out standing using the right analog stick to grab the character and put them in any position you want. The game kinda of cheats you fight the computer sometimes it wants to reverse (counter) your ever move every time you try striking they dodge it or when your do a grapple they find a way out of it. This game over all makes people still wanna play it but you should always play the newer Smack Down vs Raw's that come out ever year. I give the game a 10 out of 10.
Rated 8 out of 10 by R.I.P. The King Of Pop Pretty Good Game
This is a pretty good game. I would recommend it to anyone that likes wrestling games. Let me break it down for you.The Good- Gameplay is excellent- Controls are very easy to learn- A large variety of wrestlers, both male and female- You have your own 2 story locker room, which you can customize with posters, banners, collectibles, belts, guitars, pool tables, beds, seats, life-size figures, aquariums, and much more- Create A Wrestler has a wide amount of apparel you can choose from, such as shirts, pants, shorts, jackets, suits, accessories, and many moreThe Bad- Storyline is awful. You storyline varies depending on which brand you choose to enter. But your character goes through events which don't make sense and they don't feel right.- Create a finisher is terrible- Create an entrance needs more choices to choose from.Overall, this game is very good. Between, this game, Smackdown Vs Raw 2008, and Smackdown Vs Raw 2009, I suggest you buy this game because it has a way cheaper price, and it is better. Unless you are willing to take a chance with Smackdown Vs Raw 2010, which is coming out around November, and if you are willing to pay $**, you should probably rent it and see if you like it or not.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Cain-the-undertaker The best there is...
Okay, first up the games challenge, when you make a create-a-wrestler, he only starts with 38 overall. That's not good considering HBK, HHH, Kurt Angle, Edge, John Cena, and Rey Mysterio are in their 90s. So the challenge is decent. There's alot of characters to select in different weight classes with different wrestling styles. Like the high flying Rey Mysterio, or The Great Khali. I love how you can create a moveset and give your characters moves like the swanton bomb. The royal rumble and money in the bank are hard, but definitely not impossible. The storyline is pretty good... but there is only 4 storylines. Obviously the Smackdown and Raw storylines, and then the WWE champion storyline and the World Heavyweight champion storyline. The legends are pretty cool but theirs four Mick Foley characters (Mankind, Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Mick as himself.) Legends don't even gave their own storylines... you have to choose Smackdown or Raw for them. The graphics are AMAZING! The entrances are so great looking, and the fireworks? WOOOO! Plus I love making stables with special entrances and stuff... They even have a teamwork attribute... But there is one part of the game that is better than the rest of it. GM MODE! You take control of Smackdown or Raw and draft your superstar roster. You then set up rivalries, attack your opponents show, trade superstars, and plan PPVs. Trust me... BUY THIS GAME!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Umaga Best Smackdown vs. Raw Game Ever
I think Smackdown! vs. Raw 2007 is the one of the best WWF/WWE video game ever (the other being Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain). It's even better than Smackdown! vs. Raw 2011. The graphics are amazing, especially for a game that's fairly old (by today's standards). The gameplay is also great. I personally think it has the best grapple system of all the games. The create-a-moveset is awesome. It has thousands of different moves, everything from the chokeslam to the sleeper hold. The create-a-superstar has tons of options. I could spend all day making superstars. It has a great roster too. It has tons of great superstars from Smackdown! and Raw, not to mention divas and legends. The season mode is lots of fun, with a long storyline and unlockable superstars, outfits, etc. Create-an-entrance is especially good compared to the other games, because they have, not only the superstars' moves and music, but also ones they created that no real superstar has, so your created superstar's entrance doesn't have to have a bunch of parts from real superstars' ones. Unfortunately, GM mode isn't the best. It doesn't really have instructions for it, so I can't figure out how to progress in the days. It's also kind of boring and repetetive. It also has create-a-PPV, which is fun, but it's pretty much the same as doing a bunch of different matches in a row except less time in between. Overall, it's an amazing game and I would definately recommend it.
Rated 4 out of 10 by gamer411 worse than tna impact
well.............wwe messed up...big time .wwe svr7 has a stamina meter that must be filled every 15 seconds.it did an awesome job with all the superstars hulk hogan, jerry lawler, bret hart, taz, and almost every legend in the wwe including the rock.. about the gm mode its really not good get 2008 if you wanna be a gm . undertakers only a 89 but you make your self a house! its still is bad but somethongs made up for it
Rated 9 out of 10 by CausalReviewGuy WWE SVR 2007 Review
If you a fan of the series, then I recommend getting this game. If you are huge on graphics, you might be disapointed. but the rest of the game is great. the only other thing I dont care for is season. it is boring after a while. Creating is great. Gm mode is great. Maybe best roster in the series. a must get for 2 dollars
