Better Than The Movie
I saw the movie Van Helsing quite a few years after it came out, and it turned out to be a big disappointment. Therefore, my expectations for this game were quite low. However, the game turned out to be better than I expected. The storyline is mediocre (like that of the movie), but other than that, the gameplay is entertaining. Most normal opponents aren't too easy nor too hard to kill, and the boss fights take combinations of weapon selection, dodging, and timing shots (in other words, simply running and gunning just won't do the trick). The graphics are good, and the sound effects are excellent. Weapons variety is good (although I would have liked to see more melee weapons), and is versatile enough for a wide variety of enemies. The game length might be a bit short, but by replaying the game to find hidden objects, the game retains the player's attention. This game isn't quite one to devote weeks of gameplay to, but not quite one for the trash heap. Overall, I'd give it an 8.
Good but Short
I`m here to tell you about the van helsing video game. First off the graphics are pretty good for 6th generation consoles. The sound is great. The challenge is okay but could be a little harder. The only thing is it`s to short i beat it in three days you could probaly beat it in one day if played it for five hours. The story is good just like the movie about a monster hunter sent to Transylvania to kill dracula well theres more to it but I don`t want to spoil it for you.Anyways about the gameplay the controls are good. You get to fight dracula and his brides the wolfman,Igor,Mr.Hyde and the Frankenstien Monster which are all very fun to fight. You get lots of cool weapons like dual pistols, tojo blades, galting gun and much more.If your into killing monsters and stuff then this game is right for you but like I said it is short other than that its a good game.
