Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
Hard Core Warriors
This game is, by far, the hardest game I EVER played. I tell everyone that you can try and find a harder game, but it just isn't done! This game gives a interesting story lines, with characters that you can easily like. You go on a mission as a young women, who is possessed or hosting one of the Valkyrie's of Norse legends. The Valkyrie is rebelling against the over all GOD of their home. The characters have to go through a complicated system of trials that are being thrown at them, along with other things that are just needed for a fight ahead of them. The fact this game was so hard was that you NEED to fight enemies and gain levels. Every enemy you see, you have to fight them, in my opinion. At the end of the game, I needed 20 some levels to beat the end boss. But don't let that scare you away. This game was beautiful in every way. The story was a heart-breaker at the end, and you couldn't help but feel bad. The other games in the series are always very gripping.
Is This Valkyrie Or Final Fantasy?
Is This Valkyrie Or Final Fantasy? Is it Final Fantasy?Well according to the exceeding expectations of the storyline like final fantasy. Yes. Is it Final Fantasy? Well according to the state of the art professional instrumental orchestral sound. Yes. Is it Final Fantasy? Well according to the length that doesn't let you drop the controller. Yes. Is it Final Fantasy?Well according to the controls. No but in a way sorta sometimes better. Is it Final Fantasy? Well according to the state of the art graphics. Yes. Is it Final Fantasy? Well according to the challenge that aggravates you but with fun. Yes. Is it Final Fantasy? Well according to the fact that it's made from the same company. Yes/No/Maybe? Who knows. What Square Enix will say!So I'll shut up to save myself from copyright now. The fact that the Final Fantasy Series and the Valkyrie series are so similiar doesn't mean they are the same.it's simple the Valkyrie series is way better. But no harm to one of my favorite video game series of FinalFantasy.
so the only other review on here is someone ranting about how its like final fantasy i thought it would be a little more informative to tell you whats its really like. Its a great little square enix RPG with dungeons puzzles and many many usable characters and real time battle system ingeniously set up so that square triangle circle and x are each characters attack in battle which each character can be assinsge to the respective buttons with a co-op mode available in the game menu. sound like final fantasy to you? not me in fact its NOTHING like it beside the fact of a few typical similaritys as in items and graphics but that its its a great game go buy it its fun. im sure you will agree with me when you say the only other review on here is not informative at all.
Norse Myth is fun again!
Valkyrie Profile 2 is a wonderful Rpg to play! The game is great on story, gameplay, sound... But this is not number 2 nope it's actually a prequel to the first Valkyrie Profile( Lenneth). The game is hard on normal but it's much much harder on hard mode. The game has many charcters to choose from, it's pretty long at least 50 hours and double that on hard mode because it's not an easy game to play.
I have been a fan of the Valkyrie series since the installment of the first game for PS1. The original Valkyrie Profile was a very different styled RPG and was in one word: Outstanding. Can this prequel/sequel live up to its predecessor? Absolutely and then some. Hands down, this is graphically the best looking PS2 game ever made. Bold statement? Possibly...but play this on 480P(This is one of the few PS2 games to support progressive scan) and be floored by its graphical presentation. The music and sound are also extremely catchy and well composed...one of the best soundtracks I have heard on PS2 before. Gameplay is tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, it is easy. The story is ridiculously awesome. It starts out seemingly basic and straightforward and then twists and turns are thrown in at a good pace leaving the player pretty "wowed". Is it important to play the first game before picking up this amazing title? I would say yes. It is not required to play this game, but you will appreciate the story that much more thus giving you a full experience. So buy the original on PS1 or get the rerelease on PSP! When you beat that game and get the best ending(VERY important to get the best ending for the first installment) buy this game and be amazed.
Greatness with complication
This game is a very good game for all gamers alike, the only thing about the game that i had complications with is the battle ailments that end the battle if u only have one character standing that, if effected by a certain battle ailment, will result in an automatic game over. For example the battle ailments paralysis, stone, and frozen which can keep the player still until either the ailment wears off or an item is used but there has to be more than one character standing, without another character standing and one of these ailments effects you're remaining character then the game ends no matter how many enemies lying in your path of destruction
