Twisted Metal: Head on is a great game for a twisted metal fan or not. Controls are easy to use, most ps2 owners will feel comfortable with them. The sound is all right, as well as the graphics, not all that great but not horrible either. The storyline is fun and easy to follow, with a good amount of vehicles and stages. The objective is to shoot, blow up, burn or whatever you want to do to destroy the enemy vehicles. Some of the weapons are homing missiles, fire missiles, machine gun, napalm, and ricochet. There are plenty of power ups and unlockables to keep you busy, but you will get bored after 15 hours or so. After beating story mode for the first time, you might want to go back and unlock everything. Multiplayer is pretty cool, being able to dominate the battlefield with another person. As a bonus, story mode is different with every character you play as. That means you must beat the game more than 10 times to get it all. But in the end its all about whether you like racing and shooting at the same time!

If you have ever played twisted metal 2, then you've played this game. This game is exactly like twisted metal 2, just better graphics. This game is also the same game as twisted metal head on for the psp, the only difference is that it comes with twisted metal lost and some other bonus features. Twisted metal lost is what saved this game, even though it's only four levels, the gameplay is amazing. Twisted metal lost is everything twisted metal black was, just has some extra touches. The bonus movies from twisted metal 1 are horrible, they're cheesy and the picture is very fuzzy. The sweettooth mode where you can play as sweettooth mode has no challenge at all. The bonus information given in the sweettooth mode is very interesting but not worth playing for. The controls in this game are very easy, but when fighting the bosses, the difficulty becomes almost impossible. Overall, the game is not worth playing if you played twisted metal head on for the psp. Just rent the game, the gameplay is so short, you will be finished with it within two to three days.

Twisted Metal is one of the main reasons the PlayStation ever took off to begin with. Now, Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition will give the PS2 the big finale it needs. After six years with no new console releases, Twisted Metal will return with all the battlegrounds of the PSP version, plus 5 previously unreleased levels. Two new cars that never made it into other games, known as Gold Tooth and 12-Pak, as well as special features like the unreleased live-action end movied from the original Twisted Metal and an in-depth commentary on the series. This is a must-own title for any Twisted Metal fan.

you'll like this game more if you have never played the psp version ever, and I mean this. the twisted metal: lost is the best part, even with only 4 levels, and it's really fun to play through them all. the sweet tour is really great if you want to learn facts about how twisted metal was made, with twisted metal concept art. this is a better example of a psp port to ps2, but it still is held back
