yeah i really like this game because everything about it is interesting. You're a person in a car, which looks like a death trap (talking about the car), and has a crazy design. All of the cars have different special moves. the best car in that game to use is the one that looks like an icecream truck because when it does it's special move where the car would transform into a robot that would take the most damage out of the enemies around you because it shoots a multiple amount of rockets as long as you hit your enemy. Another good car it the motorcycle because it's really fast. As a matter of fact that was the car i started off with. The motorcycle man is actually like a man with a fire-skull. His special is throwing these hooks bigger than the size of his head that glows. It takes a great amount of damage too. In my opinion he is the best looking character in the game. But to find out about the other characters you'll need to buy the game because it's a very awesome game. Get It And Enjoy-Rated Teen(there really isn't any blood violence because cars blow up)
Rated 9 out of 10 by Random_person The darker TM we all wanted
Twisted Metal: Black is the best game in the series since TM 2. The story is very dark, most of the characters have mental problems and freak you out. There endings are all mostly about payback. Twisted Metal: Black has a long gamespand since you can replay the game with a multitude of characters. Their is a good selection of weapons in this game, from napalm to homing missiles. The controls are easy to learn but there are some combos that might be hard to master. There is a large selection of stages and the stages are huge, but most stages are dark and hard to see. There are a lot of hidden unlokables to find, but sometimes they are to difficult to find on own. Multyplayer is up to four players and has two modes, co-op story or death match. Twisted metal: black is a must buy for TM fans. If you never played a twisted Metal game you should at least rent or borrow it.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Delta412 For all twisted metal fans
I have been a twisted metal fan since the second instalment, and i have to say that this is one of the best of the series. The controls are much better this time around, the vehicle responds instantly as you move the left joystick, so you could turn real easy and still have complete control of your vehicle. The graphics are pretty could, especially in the cutscenes. The gameplay graphics are step up from previous twisted metals if you ask me. If your new to the series it may take some time for you to get used to the game, but in the end you'll love it. This game takes after the 2nd installment rather than the previous one, but thats not a bad thing, sometimes older is better, but everything is improved in this game. I would say this is the best in the series. The stages in the game are massive, and there are plenty of things to destroy in each stage. The vehicles in the game are armed to the teeth for fun destructive mayhem. They also bring back classic vehicles like Dark side and Sweet tooth. This game is for all twisted metal fans, or for anyone looking for a fun time. I would highly recommend this game to any twisted metal fan.
Rated 6 out of 10 by Malevolent They Twisted Around What Was Good About The Series
This game, is entertaining; but, the first fault of the game that I found is, everyone seems to chase after you. For Instance, I sat in a secret area silo for 10 minutes, I come out, everyone is still alive and on top of that, their health hasn't went down. The appeal of the original was it being a free for all, everyone against everyone and more often than not most your enemies are taken out by other enemies. Second issue I found, there isn't many areas to set traps, bombs; which was another appeal the original 4 had, watch paths most often taken, and set a bomb. In comparison, it's a terrible installation, might as well have all the enemies target you from the get go rather them, pretending to chase the other cars.

Twisted Metal: Black is most likely one of the greatest games for the PS2, it's an instant classic. The game play is fluid and very fun and original. You can choose over 15 characters, who are tied to vehicles, (5 are unlock able) and the vehicles are ordinary cars and trucks and a motorcycle outfitted with machine guns and weaponry. Each character has their own story, and the stories are very original and creative. The enviorments are very gloomy and dark because of the nature of the game, but never the less, the graphics are fantastic for a PS2 game. Even if you get bored with the campaign, the game is up to 4 players, so you can always play with your friends.
Rated 10 out of 10 by TheReverend Very hard, but amazing, and fun.
Interesting game. Veryy creepy... Which is awesome. I only play this game at midnight or past midnight. Its no fun playing this game before midnight, in my opinion. Me, my bro, cousin, and friends love playing this game. Its very fun. But extremely hard!!!

this game is fantasic. the themes are dark, the combat is as solid as ever, and there are lots of new characters. this also has the most weapons, even though some are similar. but the main thing to note is this is really hard. but, this is worth playing.

This is my favorite of the Twisted Metal series. The gameplay was just great. Yet, to be honest it took me a couple hours to get past level one in story mode. Overall it's a fun hardcore game.
