Tomb Raider: Legend
The Awsome Game
This was my first tombraider game to play on ps2. It was so fun! The grafics were pretty good, like in the story/movie scenes the they were really good, and during game play they were good too. It was very adventurous and fun! Some parts are hard to get through so i printed out a game guide, it helped me alot. Then i went through the level i got it, so i could do it my memory. The toughest level was the one in africa when you had to fight that guy, but it wasnt too bad. My favorite part was when laura rode the motorcycles, that was pretty cool. once you get the controls it's pretty easy. When i rented it over the christmas break I was so addicted to it! And i beated the game, and solved the croft manor's mystories! But i thought it shoud be longer. It's needs about like 20 levels so i could play it longer, but it really has 7 levels, but that's ok. So get this game!!!!
Tomb Raider Legend
Legend was the first tomb raiders game I played. I liked almost everything about it. The graphics were pretty good. Sometimes it would be a little hard to see, thoughv even with Lara's light because it didn't light up things that weren't close enough. Also, the sound was good, but when the guy is talking to Lara on her headset it was really hard to hear what he would say. It would have been nice if the background noises would fade when someone was talking to Lara, but that's only a really small portion of the game and isn't really that important. I liked the challenge. There are a lot of puzzles in the game where you have to figure things out for yourself but I like this because when you finally do figure it out it seems easier for the next time you have to solve another puzzle. If you do get lost, then you can always just find a guide online. I loved the adventure and being able to explore, especially how you can go to the manor house and how through out the game there are more things you can do in the house. The characters you have to fight are actually difficult and it took me a few tries per person to defeat, which is good because I hate it when it takes me 1 try to defeat somebody. The overall plot and story line was great and easy to follow. I recommend this game for anybody who likes a challenge, likes to explore and adventure.
I completely loved this game. It was the first Tomb Raider I ever played and after that, I wanted to play all of the others. It has a terrific story line, and the game play is awesome. The only flaw was when you fell off a cliff or somewhere, that you climbed up, you had to climb all the way back up. It's a good game for someone that is just looking for something to play, and has an interesting story. You ride motorcycles, and rock climb, and you are constantly jumping from side to side on cliffs, and swinging on branches, and things like that. The game play is pretty awesome though. And although the graphics aren't the sharpest thing in the world, it's decent, because come on, it's ps2. It's also a thinking game too. Some parts are real brain teasers, but it's not terribly hard.
I personally think that this ungrateful game is giving the tomb raider games a bad name. When I played it I got stuck on so many things cause of its interface. (interface means to follow the directions given) There was no interface what so ever, and I had to figure it out all by myself. Another bad thing is the graphics. When you look close up to a face it'll come out all blurry. Another bad thing is the aiming. The aiming is bad because you have to aline yourself to make the shooting target stick to your opponent. My gradings might be up high but their like that in a bad way. I put the challenge on 10 because it's a big challenge cause of the low interface. The length and storyline have a high score because the game is long. And the controls are easy to forget. In conclusion, I would not recommend this game to anyone unless you want to make them unhappy.
Lara Croft Is The Female Queen Of Video Games
These are facts about my favorite Tomb Raider game this game is awesome too bad SOME people don't think so. Upon its release, Tomb Raider: Legend topped the UK game charts for 3 straight weeks and it is now part of the Platinum Range for PlayStation 2 titles. Fact that is true, Tomb Raider: Legend gave the series the strongest critical response it had received since Tomb Raider II in 1997, and it remains one of the highest-rated games in the history of the franchise. IGN declared "It's now safe to return to the game you once loved. Crystal Dynamics successfully resurrects an old franchise from the tomb." GameSpot said that Legend "finally brings the series into the 21st Century while staying true to the adventurous spirit of the early games." They stressed the game should have been longer and therefore referred to it as a "brief but fun adventure that just about anyone can enjoy." GameZone awarded it an 8.5/10, and noted that gameplay had improved, saying "Lara is a dream to control and her moves come off as more natural and more acrobatic." They included that the game could have been longer and the combat system improved, and rounded off their review by saying "It’s good to see Lara back in top form and while her adventure is a bit on the short side and combat could have been handled a lot better, it’s hard to say no to a pretty girl that still has what it takes to show us a really good time. Fans of the series will certainly not want to miss this one." So this just saying this game is one of the best Tomb Raider Games.
