Rated 10 out of 10 by Thy Uncalm Best Racing Game there Is!
I've been a big fan of racing games since I was five years old. I've probably played almost every single racer there is, whether it was arcade or simulation. I never thought a game could be the best until I found this game. To start off, there are over thirty-five types of racing in this game. There are races like oval racing, sprint car racing, touring car racing, open-wheel racing, rally racing, off-road racing, and even monster truck racing. Few are unlocked at the beginning, but when you unlock them all, it becomes the best game ever. Unlocking them all is very fun, too. Now, here's my review of ToCA Race Driver 3... Challenge: Being a simulation game, there is always a challenge. Moving from touring cars to sprint cars is almost impossible because of the difference between the cars work out. But this is what makes the game fun and realistic. A Mitsibishi won't act anything like a sprint car in real life, and that's how it works out in this game. You get tips throughout the World Tour, especially after every race at the beginning, and after your first test race. The cars act realistically, but they're easy to get used to. Controls: Controls tell how realistic the cars will act in a racing game. They're absolutely perfect in this game. There are some games that turn too hard by just tilting the stick, and there's some that don't steer enough even if you slam the stick all the way over, breaking it sometimes (Cough, Forza, cough!). This game has the rare medium in between these two extremes. It's possible to drift (Not much, though.) through corners by using a lot of pressure, but you can still speed through those light corners by hardly using any pressure. No matter how tight or loose the corner is, you'll never break a sweat. Graphics/Animation: Beautiful! Simply put! Although the cutscenes do, in fact, look better than the actual game, the game looks simply stunning. The thing that made this game perfect was the damage your vehicle takes. If it slams into a wall at thirty miles per hour, you will notice a much, much different effect than slamming into it at one hundred miles per hour. The tracks look amazing, especially that dirt that is in some of the tracks. You can see every little bunch of dirt or mud clumped together. Sound: Man, I wish I had speakers all throughout the house so I could blast this game. There's no getting used to how stunning the sound is. If you play it loud enough, your neighbors might think you just got a new Viper. Just think how annoyed they would be. Track Variety: Again, perfect. With all the types of racing in this game, there has to be a lot of tracks. And there all. This is not one of those games that includes loads of tracks but they're all unrealistic and bad to the eye. This is one of those games that has real tracks with realistic physics, and it still looks amazing, even down to the last grain of sand. Vehicle Customization: One of the only two things given an almost-perfect nine. It's amazing. That's all I can say. However, almost no visual work can be done. If I am wrong, sorry, but I didn't take time to beat this game and do modifications. I was to excited to unlock all the race types. The customizations you can do to the engine, though, is amazingly detailed. Vehicle Variety: The last thing I have to review on this game. Again, with all the types of racing there is, there has to be a lot of cars, right? Well, don't say that's wrong because it is right! Sprint cars, rally cars, muscle cars, monster trucks, Ford, Dodge, Mitsibishi. And those are just to name maybe five percent of the total amount of cars in this game. If you're looking for the best racing game, look no further. Despite it's low price tag, this game is better than any other racing game I've played on any next-generation console, even the Playstation 3 and the XBOX 360. Buy this game. I promise right here and now that you won't regret it.
