Rated 10 out of 10 by Cynder the Dragon :) Just an amazing game I give 10 out of 10
Ive loved spyro since I was first able to pick up the PS1 control.... spyro the dragon, riptos rage, enter the dragon, enter the dragonfly.... new beginning, eternal night, and now dawn of the dragon.... All wonderful games and great for avid gamers looking for excitement. I am a straight forward gamer... Playing Spyro Dawn of the Dragon made me love spyro even more. With the ability to fly whenever, wherever, for however long , and play as a new dragon, Cynder, this game is intriguing to master. Spyro and Cynder both control 4 elements... spyro has electricity, ice, earth, and of course, fire. Now cynder has some strange abilities.... this little black she dragon can really pack a punch with her elements, poison, fear, wind and shadow... the two dragons make a devastating team! And one of the best parts... when you wnt to switch from spyro to cynder, it doesnt just change dragons and make you wonder "Where did spyro go!?!?!?!", the other dragon follows the main dragon (the one you play as) and helps you fight... true gamers at heart should get this AMAZING game.

Rated 10 out of 10 by EthanWaber One word. Epic.
This game is top-of-the-notch graphics redefined. Incredible- the scenery- just beautiful. Gameplay- couldn't be better. Sound- glorious. I basked in awe-inspiring scenery and lovely audio. Lasting appeal- throughout the game i never wanted to stop, but i have to say- replayability has pros and cons. Because of the upgrade system, going back to past levels to face off against special enemies was good, but once you beat Malefore and win, you probably dont have much left to get. Maybe a crystal or 2, but thats it. After finishing, i didn't play it that much. My enthusiasm towards playing diminished. However, after a month and a half, my interest was renewed and i just wanted the storyline all over again. So be forewarned, if you love it at first, the novelty will wear off. But eventually you'll really want to play it again.
Rated 10 out of 10 by gamergirl13 Best game out of the trilogy!
This is a really great game. It is one of the best I've ever played. I like how the story starts off, with Spyro, Sparx and Cynder trapped in that crystal. Something that is really funny to me, Spoiler Alert, is that Spyro and Cynder like each other, but in the first game they were fighting because Cynder was bad. Also the cast is really good. I hope the person reading my review knows what the Lord of the Rings are, because the dude who plays Frodo is the same one who plays Spyro. And the man who plays Sirius Black from Harry Potter is the guuy whoh plays Ignitus, one of the Elder Dragons. Take my advice, and buy this game. You will be glad you did. And hopefully you will be able to beat the game without the help of your little brother. : )
Rated 9 out of 10 by Kiaquaii Really great game
If you've played the classic spyro games, then you know the excitment of finally being able to fly. The Spyro games (the triology and the classics) are definatly the best dragon games ever created. (not that there's many). The graphics are good, the voice acters are pretty good, the fighting style keeps things interesting, and being able to switch between characters is a nice change. The multiplayer is nice as well. I wish there more dragon games like this one, but maybe with a little bit more violence and different storyline. The game is great the first time you play it, and I like how you can replay certin areas, but the game does get rather boring after a while. I havn't played it in over a year.

Being an avid Sypro fan since birth, I was looking forward to the newest installment of the series. The last Spyro game I had played (and enjoyed; Enter the Dragonfly is a completely different story) was Sypro 2: Ripto's Rage, and after so many repetitive plays I was looking for something new. The first turnoff I experienced when I unwrapped my Christmas gift was the cover art. Had Spyro really changed that much?Okay, so Spyro isn't the same kid friendly dragon I once remembered. I suppose I could deal with that.Since I didn't play the previous game, I was a little lost in the story at first, but that wasn't much of a detriment. Everything seemed so much darker and brooding, and what happened to gems?! The story seemed overdone and unnecessarily dramatic; I could immediately tell (as I'm sure others could) what would happen with Spyro and Cynder at the end. Although I wasn't happy with the overall game, there were some additions that I was pleasantly surprised with. For example, Spyro could now kick power moves with one of his four elements. That was pretty awesome. I could switch between Spyro and Cynder and have them work together to kick someone's ass. That was pretty awesome. The cut scenes and voice acting were well done. You can't go wrong with Elijah. But, the fact that I had to use cheats to complete the game because it was too hard doesn't put it very high on my list; I remember when Spyro was fun to play.
Rated 0 out of 10 Heres hopeing
Heres hoping that this game will be a return to the old spyro. I played all 3 original spyros and loved them a long time ago. But every game since then has been a bust. I hope that Activision can bring spyro back with flight and these new features...the 2 player looks great and the graphics seem much improved. But like i said i just want the old spyro back.
Rated 10 out of 10 by SidewaysTurtle One of the best games I've ever played!
This Spyro game blows all the rest out of the water! I've played A Hero's Tail and it was down-right pathetic compared to this. I played this game about 3 years ago and I'm just now buying it. It's that good of a game for me to remember it and still want to play it! Take my advice: if you want a game that will last and hold your attention, BUY THIS!
Rated 0 out of 10 by Spyros #1 Player People say...
People say there will be a 2 player mode with Cynder and you will be able to fly around at any time you'd like. It sounds really really fun, but do not count on it 100% but I have heard it from many people that know a lot about Spyro.
Rated 8 out of 10 by TheReverend Pretty good
I love spyro, but it hasn't been as good since Insomniac sold it to another company like Activision & others...No company can beat Insomniacs versions of Spyro. But I have to say, this one is pretty good.
