Great Game, a little hard to grasp
Great Game. Graphics OK. Game Mechanics are a little hard. For example, pressing -> and LK+RK will do something, but <- and LK+RK will do something completely different. This gets annoying very fast. But that’s my only gripe with the game. Other than that, the game is excellent!

a little bit iffy
My personal game series is the tekken series which combine martial arts with street fighting and other stuff. Although it isn't the newest game in the series it has great game-play and the plot and story of it all is pure genius! I highly reccomend this game for ALL GAMERS!!!!! The graphics however could be iffy. It could get some blurred characters and you can see the little pixels in a level or two but I forever will love this game!

Long-Time Favorite
Tekken tag was and always will be one of my favorite tekken games. The bowling minigame was fun and enjoyable. Namco began the start of a true tekken series after releasing this game. The gameplay and music was my favorite features about the game.

One of my all-time favourites!
My family and I can play this game for hours; it's one of the games that connected us all and got us all going. I guess if you don't mind the youngsters playing a "violent" game, then it's perfect. There's no blood or any detailed gory images- no blood [besides the red sparks that tell you've hit your opponent], no broken bones [like in the newer Mortal Kombat game... S: ], and nothing really detailed to suggest a gruesome victory. The real challenge of this game is learning different moves on specific characters and utilising these against your opponents; the bigger challenge is learning your opponent's strategy and timing your attacks within their style. There are endless amounts of moves and combos you can master, then forget, then re-master and try it all over again. It's a fun, never-ending, and challenging game for anyone who wants to butt heads with no hardships. This game differs from the original series as it also incorporates the "tag team" aspect of it; you can choose two characters and switch between them during battle in order to win. It's fun to have this as you can sit out a character with low health, win two fights with your second character, then use that first character again as you gain a little health with each victory. It opens up more doors and leads to building teams that suit your needs perfectly. I personally believe the graphics are fantastic in this game. They're detailed enough not to overpower anything- such as the console which would result in long load screens and lots of lagging- but simple enough to be easy on the eyes although still interesting to look at. It's beautifully done in a very minimalistic manner- also, the different characters and outfits are superb! If you press different buttons while choosing characters- say you're choosing someone and press square instead of x- then you get different outfits. You can also press start, which is usually the "hidden" and "special" outfit of the character- sometimes you get the opposite persona of them as well. [Example- start on Devil gives you Angel. Start on Roger gives you Alex.] The music is beautifully done as well- it's upbeat, moving, and energetic all at the same time. It's very techno-based, but that's why it's upbeat and perfect for a fight. P: [Also, there are no explicit lyrics.] There are different things you can do in this game- arcade, survival, team battle, even bowling, and more! Cutscenes are also short, sweet, and to the point, so you can easily get a move on to the fun! Although a spin-off of the original series, this game is beautiful but not overpowering or extremely complicated, and is easy enough to get addicted to once getting started; I would recommend this game to everyone due to its simplistic nature which is hiding its powerful core. It's fun, exciting, and never-ending with the possibilities of what you can do. ( :

Awesome.
This was one of my first PS2 games. One of the games that I used to play for hours... I finished the entire game a few years ago and I still wasn't bored. Tekken is one of those old games that are so good that it's better than some new games. I recommend getting this if a PS2 is all you have.
