Rated 7 out of 10 by Kimchi It's OK
Well, it's um...how do I say it? It's mediocre. It's fun for like the first 5 fights and after that, it's all downhill. I don't like fighting that much but since all I ever had been of shooter, platformer and action, I said "Eh,what the heck? I'll buy this game." It's a great game and all, but fighting games are not my thing. I would recommend it, but I won't. This is barely challenging. I mean, I start a round and in less than 25 seconds I've won both rounds. I just wish that it would be better. Yoshimitsu SUCKS! He has a sword but he uses it only in like one special move. Kazuya is probably the coolest looking dude other than Hwoarang. Nina is the coolest babe! Let's see, what else we could talk about Tekken 4? Oh, I know, there's this brand new game mode that's called Tekken Force and it is awesome! My final rank:6.75.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Mortal_Kombat_King Get it!
Good characters, good graphics, good fights, everything is soooo great! So much fun for a good price! If you like action games or fighting game, get this now! Special moves could me cooler, larger maps, and more destructible surroundings (fighting games are no fun unless you smash a wall open with your appoanents head)! Personally, i like any fighting games. Wrestling, boxing, street-fighting, all of them are fun. The graphics are pretty dang good. Also, the game is pretty challenging, but not too hard. The fights in Tekken's one, two, and three are like slap-fights compares to the awesomeness of the fights in this great fighting game!!! Unlike Mortal Kombat, another great fighting game, this game has no blood or gore. Ive said it before and i'll say it again, this is an AWESOME game! get it now!
Rated 9 out of 10 by JcDetroitCity The testimate of the epic game, Tekken 4!
Tekken 4, personally is my favorite game for the Sony Playstation 2 console. With the high resolution graphics that define the epic gameplay, Tekken 4 is great for gamers of almost any age (even my 4 year old baby brother is a boss at it). The "Greatest Hits" version, which was released in the early 2000's, was an amazing achivement for Namco (yes that one, the pac-man Namco) since the release of Tekken(1) in 1994. But, what makes this game so amazing is the story progression where you play the life of your character. I recommend it to any thrill-seeking, level-grinder gamers of any age. Thank You, Jacob A.K.A. Rated 9 out of 10 by Trice An Overall Memorable Experiance.
Tekken 4 was really my first tekken. At the time I was a naive gamer, and I really wasn't all that experienced. Tekken changed that. Tekken 4 was and still probably is (with the exclusion of tekken 5), The most addicting game I've played. Challenge: The Character's AIs in this game get harder and harder as you go on into His/her storyline. The attacks that they use will be against your players fighting style and will be made to bring you down. Overall, the Challenge was GREAT. Fighting Nina as Jin is and always will be a pain in the ass. Controls: This game has an arcade style feel to it, and that worked wonders for me. Being a beginning gamer, Having this game let me lead back into my old "area of experience". Combos were easily strung out and simply had a flow to it. Interface: The game's menu and overall "Interface" was phenomenal. I enjoyed every minute of walking through the menu to get to what I wanted to do in the game. Special Moves: Special moves? Why do you want special moves in a game like this? It's a arcade style fighter were most of the people are martial artists.... It wouldn't make sense to have "special moves". The Fighting style of a character really was their "Special Moves" Character Balance: Weather you are a quick swift attacker like Hworang, or a Brute Like Jin, there will be a character for you to play in this game. 10/10 No doubt. Graphics/Animation Wonderful stages. Come on people, this is a PS2 game. remember how dazzled we were with these graphics back then? This game gets a 10/10 on graphics, again, no doubt. Sound: Each stage has it's own track, and really there are a few that get quite annoying. >< The sound when navigating through the menu and for the rest of the game time is great, I honestly couldn't think of anything better. Storyline: Each character has a diffrent reason for entering the King of Iron Fist Tournament IV. Just play and find out their motivation for "World Victory". Overall, if you have a few extra bucks, why not get this game? It's great cheap, and will last you hours of playtime. ~Thanks, Trice.
