"Go, Go, Go, Run, Run, Run"..Too Late Time Expired
In Omega Strain, you are a top secret agent working for Gabe Logan's IPCA (For those who don't know, Gabe Logan is the guy you played in the original Syphon Filter games for Playstation). Now, terrorists have created a super-virus called the Omega Strain, probably all part of their plan for world domination.
GAME PLAY: now, while the storyline may sound pretty interesting, don't let that fool you. The people behind your radio in this game are just like the ones in real life...boring! The game play might be alright if it was just a bit easier to kill the terrorists...most of them take a full clip of ammo to kill, and the controls aren't that great. Also, the auto-aim is messed up. HOWEVER, who came up with the decision to make all the missions time based? Syphon Filter Omega Strain was supposed to be one of the best games to come out in 2004, but the time-based missions killed it for me. There is just nothing there for all the stealth fans out there everything was go, go, go you are running out of time, man that sucks. WHY? Oh one more thing, what kind of armor is it that Gabe is giving his people? You simply are to easily killed, the enemy seems to have more superior weapons and armor, this was just sad.
GRAPHICS: are great improvements from the other games in the series. Things look and run smooth. I never experienced any glitches while playing.
SOUND: this game has excellent music, and the people who brief you actually sound like well...they are briefing you for a mission. Guns sound pretty good too. Can't do much better here. Voice acting was dull, but that’s my opinion.
CONCLUSION: I don't really care for it. I prefer game play to anything, and this game just doesn't cut it. Actually, I'm disappointed with the stupid time based missions. I mean I liked the game except the time thing, which just so sucks for me. So, if you are looking for a good third-person shooter, don't tilt your head towards this one.

This game is beast.
Graphics are better than any other ps3 game in my opinion, I have beaten all the syphon filters, altho I dislike this one the most out of the series, it beats most ps2 games. It should be compared to xbox 360s splintercell tbh

Pretty good. Some flaws.
Omega Strain is a decent game. The storyline is fantastic. The communication during missions could've been better. Graphics on this game are definitly good. Omega Strain could have been a few missions longer. The game provides a good challenge. Creating your own agent had a good customization. You do shoot slower than other Syphon Filter games with certain weapons. The character movements definitly had room for improvement. This game has strong points but it also has its share of weak points. Iwill say that Syphon Filter Omega Strain is a game worth trying.. It is a good game. The levels are pretty fun, overall. The weapon selection is quite good. The overall enjoyment I had was a decent amount of fun, but could've been better. If you can deal with a lack of maneuverability, it's a good game to try.
