Not the best, not the worst.
Now, I like to conciser myself to be one of the biggest Suikoden Fan around and I have to say that I wasn't completely disappointed in Suikoden Tactics. While lacking the Epicness of I, II, III and V, it is, by far, greater than IV and Tierkress. After what was, in my opinion, the lamest attempt to a Suikoden, Tactic brings a nice change of Pace after IV.
In fact, I like to imagine that 4 is the spinoff and this is the one that should have been the main title. The story, while not great, is more than decent and the difficulty of the game high enough to prove challenging. With 108 characters to choose from, having a well trained and balanced party can be quite tricky. I would not recommend this to a first timer of the series, but for those who plays and like Suikoden, it is a must.
my brother won this game from a tournament, so i played it, it was all very good if you like to move in squares and stuff, there's a lot of characters to play if you can find them, and last i recall these characters really die for good if they die in combat. the ending was very very very disappointing cause i trained for it for a while. the overall game play was good though. the storyline line is good. this game is kinda shorter then i expected when i was playing it especially when it has over 100 characters to play with. the beginning is kinda lengthy if you messed up and wanna start over. there are good combos if you tactically set the cooperative characters in place. this game can be good if they created a more longer storyline or in other words more action.
its pretty good
sigh....i love suikoden but this game...wasnt the best. as far as trpgs go it was pretty good nice story line game play is good nice side missions. ending was kinda eh. overall nice game.
