Fun
This is the kind of game to play with a friend! The Surprises and occasional jumps are more fun that way. If you appreciate a brooding atmosphere and dark subject matter, then this is for you. ...Not really an action game. It's more about the journey, more about submersing yourself in a tense, creepy, lonely world: less so than it's predecessors, but more so than most horror games. A good balance between fighting and investigating. A classic! See Call of Cthulhu for a similar feelling game.

This was a very creepy game.
Kinda long game that had a different style for the story. If you're closterphobic then you won't like this game, seeing how you're stuck in that room.

Very Claustrophobic, but fits with story & fun
Loved this game. At first I was sketchy about whether I'd like this game. Especially because it was originally released for the xbox only. I just purchased it on PS3 and I am excited to play it again. It was also great on the xbox though. Love this series. I just purchased downpour and so far it has been a bit lame and not really the silent hill feel. But I will write that in another review when I finish :) THis is an excellent game though!

Time to go through that hole!!!
This was my first, Silent Hill game. I like the fact that, Henry is locked in his home and a hole appears in his bathroom wall. Then he finds out that there's a serial killer that wants him dead. Lets focus on the features now. (1) Gameplay The gameplay is great, it's just like the other Silent Hill games. Some of the differences are, there's a real-time inventory, and you don't have the radio and flashlight in this game. (2) Graphics The graphics are good, but their the same as in the 2nd and 3rd games. (3) Sound The sound is awesome, I love the sounds you hear throughout the game. They are very errie, from hearing the ghost victims moaning to hearing a wolf howling. I love the soundtrack, It has alot of great songs, my favorite is Room of Angel. Overall I love this game, It is one of the best games in the series. I beat the game, and got the 2 extra features, 1 Weapon Mode, and All Weapons Mode. It's time to stop Walter once and for all!!!

Boring...
When I played is game I found it boring.. I hate have to go all the way back to your room and back to where you were. I barly got scared at all.. But at the end was realy cool if you can get too it.. other then that great story line and graphics... The games I recommend from the series is the 3rd and the 2nd. The 2nd one is outstanding and the 3rd is great but personaly scarier then the 1st or the 2nd. If you are new to the series start with the 1st or you might get confused for the people who are about playing for the story line.. I hoped this help :]

The game Konami intended to hook you.
This was my first Silent Hill game ever. Before this one, I really didn't know what they were. Now I am huge Silent Hill fan. This game is the best one besides the newer Homecoming. The story line is great and the world of Silent Hill itself has you on edge and unable to get enough. The story line does seem to confuse and twist near the end but it just adds to the chaos of what is Silent Hill. I would recommend this game to anyone.

Silent Hill
This game was my 1st ever silent hill game and i really enjoyed playin it. The graphics for this game is really good for ps2, the environment arround you are just look so good and when u playing there always the creepy background music. The controls for this game is actually really good and the combat system is fun, i love how when u knock the enemy down, you can stomp on the head, you have to anyway to kill them. The thing about this game though is that there so many different melee weapons you can use, but like most of them are the same thing. This game story was awsome, it's so messed up and creepy. But it's way too short, i mean u cud beat it in like 4 to 6 hours of playing, i beat it in 6 hours on my 1st playthrough. I also dont like how in the game, there this hole in your room (you'll no wat im talkin about when u get this game) and everytime u want to change your inventory or save you have to go in the hole into your room and back to return to the other world. and you can only hold up to 10 items btw, which really suk cuz then you have to keep comin back to ur room everytime your inventory is full. overall, this game is very fun and you'll definitely enjoy it. but i don't think this game have good replay value
