The best of the series
I barely started playing this game and I must say I'm pretty impressed especially for $5. Lots of legends in this game, the gameplay is pretty fun imo I think they improved tenfold in this game. The only people that I think is missing from this game is Steve Austin, The Rock, Taker and Shawn Michaels but overall still very fun!

Fantastic trip down memory lane
While I had my reservations about this game after reading about it on different sites on the web, when I saw it in a GameStop while on vacation for $4.99 I figured why not give it a shot. I can say this right away, I am very glad that I picked it up. For starters, I love that all the characters, and let me tell ya this roster is HUGE, are available right away, and with all their attire from the start. Being able to have Andre the Giant with his big afro from the 1970’s, the late 1980’s/early 1990’s blonde Sting as well as nWo Hogan is great, and that is just for starters. All wrestlers have different outfits as well. Next, to be able to wrestle in Madison Square Gardens, Texas Stadium as well as the Mid-South Coliseum really adds to the game. The variety of matches is wonderful and the move sets that each legend has is real close to what they actually had. It is also easy to pull off all the moves. Without a doubt, this game truly captures what makes professional wrestling, not only back 20, 30 or 40 years ago fun, but in today’s world as well.
This game does have a few things that it could have done better. Many of the wrestler’s bodies are a bit overdone to say the least, but that really does not take away from the enjoyment of the game one bit. The commentary does get old and repetitive at times, but in pretty much every wrestling game ever produced this ends up being the case, so unless this is your first go around with a wrestling game you should be used to that by now. Last but not least, while you are able to play through the different decades and become the 1970’s decade champion, there are no title belts to win. In fact, there are no title belts anywhere in this game. If there is anything that I really wish would have been added to this game, title belts would have been it. Seeing the likes of Jake the Snake or Abdulla the Butcher wearing the heavyweight title belt would have been cool, but I guess I can live without that.
If you enjoy playing wrestling games, grew up or a fan of old school wrestling and the men that mad it great and want to spend just a few bucks to play all the matches you remember so well, you have to pick up this game. Let me tell ya, there is no way you will ever be disappointed.
