ShellShock: Nam '67
I remember playing this game as a little kid! and for some reason I wasn't bothered at all by the gore and the language in fact it was the first game with any sort of bad language in it. But that’s beside the point this game offers great game play although they could have put more maps in it it seem that I’m always back in the same place in different levels. But the action and gore is great like if you hit a Charlie with a grenade he'll be five different red parts or if you get a head shot all you see is pink bits fly every where. Once again this game was the first of me to see gore like that in a video game and the only kind of games I played were war games. But defusing traps was fun a different although the spring trap only popped up twice in the game. the "death machine" was a different gun than what iv seen in a game. it is a M60 with 1000 rounds in it the rounds are held by a back pack. But i would(and did) recommend this to all my friends and later on the other people I know.
I enjoyed this game. Sort of a knockoff of socom/ghost recon, but I enjoyed it. The gore is the best part, blowing off Charlie limbs and heads is totally worth seeing for the money. The storyline is really weak. You really don't have a name and you’re just a pawn of special ops, nothing too special. The sound is epic; you feel like your playing in the middle of Saving Private Ryan, you might want to crank up your surround sound on this one. There are a few difficult parts to pass, but otherwise this game isn't really much of a challenge, plus its way too short. I appreciated the easy to use controls. The one thing I would change is how fast your run/sprint time runs out so fast. But the joystick sensitivity is right on and it's easy to nail a target first shot. All in all, this game is good for a gamer on a budget, not expecting anything to write home about.
Vietnam is more chaotic than ever!!!
There are almost no words to describe how amazing this games was too me when i played it, this game is full of hardcore action and they make the experiance even more realistic with the VC spawning everywhere they truely are invisible until you really look to see where the gun fire is coming from. but it isn't always that hard that it discourages you to stop playing it is a masterpiece of a game. there are many booby traps you have to defuse which is pretty fun. and the spring trap you have to crawl under to spring safely without dying the action is nonstop and you don't ever want to find yourself out of ammo on that battlefield cause if you do you better start looking for a replacemnt or whip out your pistol, overall this game is great to be replayed through again and again. i would highly recommend this game to anyone thats looking for a thrill and a nonstop rush of adrenaline.
This game to me was a good game with a lot of blood and gore. It has many cool features, like one is were if you shoot them in the head, it flies off. it is a challenging game but it is fun to were that if you are stuck on a level you wont get bored too fast. the graphics are good although they wont blow you away either. the storyline to me is very good. in some missions you need to look out for traps, ambushes, and sometimes more traps. i think that the sound is okay it's not bad. if you like all sorts of shooters and action video games than you will definitely like this one. although the saving can be a bit long, although mind was a little scratched up at the time so maybe that was the deal with the slow saving. in this game there is one more feature i need to tell you about and that is how the enemy will kill them selves in order to kill you. they can get annoying although they don't shoot at you. so what I'm also saying is here is that this game isn't too challenging but there is thing you need to watch out for. Anyway I recommend this game for any shooter looking for a game with gore and blood.
Don't Expect COD or MOH type stuff!
An okay game, lacking the appeal and glamor of the COD (call of duty series) or MOH (medal of honor) series. But this game is unique in the fact that its not just another WW II game, but VIETNAM. There are great things in this game, such as taking R N'R in the jungle with the locals (if you get what I'm saying, haha). The music in the game is great too. The graphics are a bit frustrating when you're laying on the ground and doing sneak attacks, since there is mapping issues. Otherwise, overall the game is great but replay value will go down after beating the game. So I do recommend this game if you want a break from the other popular titles, but I warn you, it may get traded back to gamestop.
i always loved this game since it came out when i was 10. absolutely brilliant sounds in the game. i always have the tv turned up. you can hear gun fights in the distance and planes and stuff like that, something most games lack these days. i'd rather play this than the Call of Duty Campaigns to be honest with you. I still play this over and over again.
I really liked this game. Its not like some games where you only have one gun choice, you can get shotguns, m60s, sniper rifles, etc. Its also fun to go buy stuff like the rocket pistol. Kinda challenging but not extremelly hard.
