Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song
One of the better games I played while growing up.
I would say I spent hours playing this game non-stop when I bought it.
I loved the way you could have a huge selection of weapons and abilities at one time and switch them while in the middle of battle.
I was expecting this game to be so-so, but it was way better than I expected.
The gameplay is fun and original.
Very little story, bad mechanics & gameplay!
As a fan of most RPG's I was surprised to find that this game is really horrible, despite it being so popular. There is very little story and no character development, this game caters more to people who value free-roaming exploration over any kind of plot. The gameplay and mechanics were convoluted and confusing even to a veteran RPG gamer and leveling was hard, requiring you to grind to level, make gold or get items. The only good things about this game was it's graphics and music, which were stellar, but not enough to overshadow the rest of the game's shortcomings. If you're looking for something that's story driven and makes you want to keep playing, STAY AWAY. But if you're a hardcore RPG-er who wants to explore, go ahead and give it a try.
This game is under rated
Pros: music, unique battle system, lots of play value
cons: grinding before boss battle
This game was just simply fun to play. If you like rpg games like the legend of the dragoon, final fantasy, and pokemon. Then your going to love this game. I really have nothing bad to say about it except you have to grind for the last boss battle. The story was okay and it kind of has this sand box feel.
I give it a 9 out of 10.
