Resident Evil Outbreak
Best game ever
For the first time I heard about outbreak 1, I was shock when I got the game the graphics was amazing the first Resident Evil game that is tough to beat. To the Resident Evil fans to the people who love a great fight u should get the game.
The last TRUE Resident Evil in the series!
This game is amazing, it does not hold your hand at all! Any bad reviews are from people who like easy games because you WILL die and a lot! The point for me was always to make it as far as i can! Awesome unlocks too btw! Hours and hours of replay here! The story mode is told through few cutscenes at the end of each scenario. This is not the standard heavy story RE. This game focuses on you being a average Joe survivor who has to get out of Raccoon city. The ammo is scarce, the health items even more scarce and the enemies are RELENTLESS! They will open doors and hunt you down! This is a MUST for any true RE fan and any hardcore survival horror fan! Even the removal of a online mode doesn't make this game a dead stick! That's saying a lot! However a 2 player mode would have been appreciated, Also LAN would have been nice! Get this along with Outbreak file # 2 and prepare to experience that classic creepy feeling that made the series what it is! Simply amazing! I hope Capcom can get this game back to it's roots!
For any resident evil fan
This game is a great game if your a current resient evil fan or your just trying to get into the series. Its graphics are good based on when it game out, and like the others in this series the sound is great. This game is a little different in the way that you control all new characters that havent been in the story before. Each character has his or her own uniqueness, and special traits. So you can play the type of character that you want. As for length it is pretty long like most in this series, and because there are so many options in it and choices it has almost unlimited replayability. The story is good because it has alot of new never before seen things in this series, but also ties in with the other ones. If your an existing fan of resident evil games you should add this too your collection, and if not you should still buy this great game.
Only for true RE fans
This game is definately a different RE. It is playable online surprisingly or offline with computer controlled AI partners. There really is no storyline, just a few scenarios you can select from as well as a bunch of random civilian characters to play as. The graphics and sound are very good though but the gameplay can get old and boring since it's the same little scenarios over and over again. It does take place in Racoon City before it blows up and you play as some people trying to survive and escape. There's also a video where you see Leon and Claire drive by in the police car from RE2! There is also a lot of unlockable content too. It's entertaining and fun for a while but I would only recomend for die-hard RE fans that want them all and respect these games.
To Outbreak....or Not To Outbreak...that is the ?
Resident Evil Outbreak sends you straight into the heart of the nightmare that is Raccoon City. Taking place during the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, while borrowing many familiar places from 2 and 3. You play as one of the survivors, and along with 2 other A.I. controlled characters, navigate through the levels to fight a boss at the end.
Now, what makes this different from any other Resident Evil game, is the fact that you are partnered with 2 A.I.'s (both whom are as dumb as stumps) and you can play this online. SADLY upon this games release, very few people had what it took to get the PS2 online and working. So many fans of the series didn't get a chance to experiance the online play with their friends.
Sadly, I never got to experiance it. I beat both Outbreak And Outbreak File 2, by myself and let me say it was HAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD! Due to the A.I.'s not responding to anything you say, and dropping vital items, and wasting ammo faster than the A.I. in RE5, it makes for a very hard and tiring game to play.
Despite this setback, I was determined to unlock what I could and beat the game. And honestly, I still love the game despite it's difficulty. Mainly because I am a huge fan of the RE series, 15 years strong.
But I would advise that only fans of the series, or gamers who enjoy a challenge, buy this game.
A new series
Outbreak is actually really enjoyable for people who like Resident Evil, or zombie/creature shooters. It has a few levels from Resident Evil, 2 and 3. The 1st and 2nd levels are from Resident Evil 2(Jack's Bar and Research facility) and a few bitter-sweet returns from Hunters, Lickers, and Thanatos(I think he's a new creature). So, If you like Zombie shooters, get this.
It's An Ok Game
This game is ok , but hardly there's no aiming and that's could be difficult at times especially for aiming the flying crows.Oh yeah there's no story line you just pick a character and some scenarios. Think 'bout that before you buy!
this game SUCKS
This game Resident Evil Outbreak, is one of the worst games I have ever played in my entire life. First of all, there are a lot of confusing controles. There had to be at least 100 or something. You had to go to the pause or select menu to get your gun. The weapon you would have in the first level, the bar, ran out of ammo quickle. There isn't even aiming. This game wasn't first or third person. I don't even know what it was, but what ever it was, it made things harder. Second, your guy would walk slowly. I don't even remember if you can run. I didn't even have this game for 16 hours. Third, the graphics are terrible. However, they aren't as bad as Soldier of Fortune Gold's edition graphics. I would only suggest this game to anyone who likes terrible games. I wonder if the fith RE is good.
it has some flaws
The loading time kinda kills the experience, the partners need babysitting, trying to find the custom items is annoying and the boss battle in the hive is kinda annoying. Pausing to use or equip item leaves you open for attack. The ability to unlock characters and stuff. The fact there is eight different people to choose from is cool
Dumb AIs,get you killed alot.
No wonder Racoon city fell ! If the residents were half as dumb and useless as my AI teammates, they deserved it. My AIs never obeyed the simplest of commands, the control schematics were complex, the graphics were even a stepback to ps1 era. Shooting controls, were non-existant, and slow.I liked the first installments of resident evil, This is for the diehard fans of the series.I was mad at myself for buying this craptastic game.Just because it had the resident evil name on the package.I rarely give any game I review below a 6,but I will make an exception here.
