Simply Out Standing
This Game is AMAZING! the graphic are awsome, the game play keeps you on edge and the character is a true an honorable hero to the end.... Although there are some flaws. One flaw being is the controls and camera angles can be really agitating some time but soon after awhile the become easier to get used to. Second is endless puzzles, you spend more time doing puzzles then you see action and fighting. Over all an exciting a really good game.
i 1st played this game way back when i was a teen. then i found out they had a essential pack. which it had this game with it. very good game. i say its the 2nd best in the series. my favorite is part 3. you start off as a samurai named samanosuke. princess yukihime is kidnapped by demons. demons are the enemy of this game. samanosuke steps in boldly to rescue her. eventually you'll get a thing to absorb the demon souls that you've killed. those souls can be used to upgrade your future swords you'll get. red souls are the ones for use to upgrade your swords. blue souls restore your magic meter and yellow restores your health. there's potions as well.theres gun and bow and arrows as well in this game but the sword is the main weapon you'll use in the game. the story has weird characters on the way that you'll meet up with some freindly some not. i found this game challenging. controls are a little hard to get used to at 1st but the storyline make sup for that. if you like to solve puzzles like in the RE series there's puzzles in this game for you to solve. length is good it will keep you playing for a while if you're new at this game. graphics are good for this type of game on a ps2. sound is good. the cut-scenes are good. i think this has a better storyline then resident evil has and resident evil has a good storyline to. i gave it 9 out of 10 just cus of the controls take time to get used to would give it a perfect 10 if the controls were better. controls are like resident evil type of controls like part 1, 2, and 3. since its only $* why not give this a try if you haven't already. you won't regret it.
better than Onimusha 4
this game is great I like this game due the fact that it's different it's not really your usual game here let me put it this way picture resident evil and Japanese mythology together you get this awesome game plus this game was also made by the creator for resident evil so for those of you who are resident evil fans you might like this game so try it out, the game is a bit short but it is challenging.
An excellent game for hack and slash fans
This game does have a awesome storyline and good gameplay, but 2 things made me mad, one: you don't move with the analog stick. two: You don't play with the Transformed Samanosuke after you beat the game. The game has a variety of weapons such as the swords and Bow with regular and fire arrows. The game does give you scares from time to time and it has good graphics for a game that came out in 2001.
Decent story with amazing combat
Onimusha features a decent story with amazing combat thrown in. The graphics are great for it's time, especially the CG scenes and the controls are responsive. The game uses the tank control system of past RE games which might take some getting used to and there is no analog functionality what so ever. The weapons and the quick paced combat is more than enough to satisfy though. Overall great game.
This game is too awesome when it comes to the storyline. When I started playing this game, I was so psyched when I made it to the final boss. A must buy for the PS2.
The game had a good story, but the controls were horrible, the cut scene graphics were good, but actual game play had bad graphics, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.
Hack N Slash with great combat
Solid story with some nice bright color schemes and weapon selection is great and level up is good and for Samurai fan this is great game...
