Need for Speed: Carbon
It was an OK game. I thought it would be a little better, after seeing most wanted, but it wasn't. The main thing was it was just too short. After I beat Darius, and the game said "Congrats, you have just beaten NFS Carbon," I was like, that's it? All in all, it's just ok. The other 3 bosses were really easy, Wolf was the easiest, I beat him in the race with 25 seconds to spare. In the Canyon Duel, I passed him at the way beggining. Kenji was little bit more difficult, but he only took me like 3 tries. Angie was the toughest of those 3, took 4 tries, but I still beat her. But there is some good stuff to say about the game. 1. I like how in this one, the crew members actually help you. They don't just race. There are blockers, who take out cars, scouts, who find all the sortcuts, and drafters, who give you and extra boost of speed. I also liked the canyon duels, those were pretty fun. The story line was good. All in all though, it was just ok.
Its great for racing game fans but not my type.
This game is not my type. if you like racing games and thats is ur type of game its great for u.But for me it wasnt my type of games are grand theft auto games . the game :its control is good graphics great it is pretty hard in drifting sections but the rest is pretty easy . its a great game dont get me wrong on that ! the police chases get pretty hard!
I think this game was amazing I mean it was one of the best need for speed games ever. It had great graphics, cars, controls, an amazing amount of ways to tune your ride and you could build your own team. Unlike many video games this one is extremely addicting i mean i played this game for hours and didn't get board. the game also has a very large track variety and race variety so you can always find an awesome race. there is also an option in the menu so you can make a car out of everything you unlocked and it doesn't cost anything although you can only use these cars in quickplay. I like the feature of being able to have someone else in the race with you it makes it much better than most racing games. also, there are many shortcuts which i find is a cool addition to a street racing game. ea games did a good job 10/10
I have this game for about 5 days, and I like it alot. The graphics, story-videos looks much better than NFS - MostWanted. The quality on the graphics are great, and the story is very good. I like the customatization a lot (even when i haven't used a lot). The part of the 'crew' is really cool, and I like that they kepp most of the fun things from NFS most wanted. The downside is that the story seems to be very short (I think I'm about half of the game and I have played it for just a few days.); something that I didnt like was that all the races are at night (like NFS underground series), and daylight races are much more fun for 'blind' people like me. Overall is an excellent game and a very good sequence from NFS most wanted, but i think that overall Most wanted is still better. DEFENETLY A GOOD BUY !!!
best nfs on ps2
this game is amazing it is a step up from underground and pro street and also is much better than undercover. If you want a great racing game pick this one up.
Best need for speed yet
This is my favriote need for speed game, and the best. I have had this game for a while and I enjoy it a lot. I have always liked need for speed games, like underground and most wanted, but this one is even better, then all of them. This one I even enjoyed this one more then the newer need for speed, like need for speed shift. The graphics were just so awasome, and the vehicles were awasome. You get to envade, and get your bounty high like most wanted. The night driving was so cool. Racing throgh the city, or free roam is so fun. This game is so realistic, as I just couldnt get over the amazing graphics. Carbon is definitely the best need for speed game and comes in the top three PS2 games. And come in the top five racing games. I recommand this game.
Really challenging and fun
1. Chalenging-The police pursuits and boss battles make it challenging but then it could go overboard and make it hard. 2. Fun-Customization and races are the fun part about this game. I really like the autosculpt...espacially for the old muscle cars with "Charged" hoods make it look pretty cool. And finally, the races are kinda easy depending which difficulty level u r on.
A VERY GOOD NFS GAME!
I got this game about 2 years ago, but I still love it a lot! The graphics are very good too. It was too short though, and couldve had more cars to be perfect, but overall a must have game for nfa fans!
sweet and fun
NFS Carbon is sweet to play nice and fun rides the police chases are kinda irritading but i have fun on occasion just opening up on the freeway with those cruisers running way back behind me the multiplayer is super fun i made my charger exactly how i wanted it that charger is a green monster when im lucky enough to get a straightaway that thing just roars away leaving the competition in the dust straight up the graphics are top notch the customization was awesome simplish but difficult the storyline by the way may have been a bit easy but still fun and entreaging but the crew was really annoying after a while they just slow down and if your behind up b lock you or justannoy you with those repetitive vocabulary the overall game just screams awesome of course it has some flaws but what doesnt need for speed :carbon is just super sweet
After playing NFS Most Wanted, I figured I should try out another game in the Need For Speed series. I loved the cop chases, I loved the racing, and I loved customizing cars. When I bought NFS Carbon, all I wanted was a clone of Most Wanted and I would be happy. I was also interested by the canyon racing. For the most part, this game makes the cut; driving is as fun as ever and customization is at it's best with an auto-sculpt feature which lets you customize the look of various parts on your car. Unfortunately, cop chases feel like they are just pasted in as a tribute to Most Wanted. There’s no real incentive to take part in them, and they end up just making it impossible to use free roam without getting hounded by cops every 5 minutes. The game would have probably been better without them, frankly. Another annoying element of the game is the system of wingmen: drivers that will perform different tasks for you in a race. It is true that they can occasionally help you take out the leading car or get someone off your back, but for the most part they will either get in your way or, occasionally, win the race for you, which can feel really cheap when you are in fourth place. Nevertheless, if you are a fan of the Need For Speed series, you will still have a decent time with this racer. Driving is solid enough, customization can be pretty fun, and the city environment looks brilliant. It's not great, but it might just be worth checking out.
