Rated 9 out of 10 by lebron23jamesmvp making the ps2 "look good"
i bought this game a few months ago becuz i was short on cash, didnt want to wait for a rental game to come to my house and wanted to play a good basketball game. So i picked this up hearing what my friends sed about it being great nd everything and it was. fOR a ps2 game they really improved the graphics. i thought that they wuld have just slapped on some mediocre graphics saying i hope they dont expect much. But some of us still do. Also, wut i noticed while playing is that u culd c the players jersey swish from side to side nd wen ur at the free thro line everything that a player does there in real life he does in the game. The game modes are kind of good but not really anything u havent seen in any other sports game. the thing that dissappointed me about this game was that for the ps2 it didnt have the draft combine, but thts the only down side of this gameSo if ur short on cash nd dnt have money for a 360 or ps3 game u shuld buy it.

I got this game on October 10 just 4 days from when it came out. My first 2K game was NBA 2K7 not bad for a 2007 game. When I first saw it i almost fainted, then when i got home i quickly put the game in and started it. I knew it was kinda like 2K7 and it kinda was except for the menu picture and the chracters. Kobe Bryant was my favorite player and when i saw Kobe on the front cover I knew it was going to be a great game and it was. Controls aren't hard, graphics are kinda realistic pretty much like 2K7, but yeah it was pretty cool and it was easier to tell if you make it because there are like 5-6 rectangles pointing up and if their all green theres a High chance you will make it. When i got my PS2 i got the game NBA live 2007, and i actually thought it was cool but boy was i wrong... about a year or so later i got NBA 2k7 and i quit live ever since. In 2K10 you could make your own player and own team. So if you like basketball or your a sports fan i would highly recommend this game instead of Live 2010 because trust me 2K Sports is better.

NBA 2k10 is a great game. I love the association mode. I don't know if the other 2ks have the association mode, but I love this one. In game, the graphics are really good for PS2. The controls are very good. The only problem I can think of are the free throw controls. There's no meter or anyghing to try to shoot te ball with. You just have to use it at the right time. In the menu they're pretty organized. The music is horrible. It's just a mish-mosh of horrible rrap music. Street mode is fun too. You can play a full court game, half court game, or a game of 21. The best part is you can play as celebreties! Only they're really bad celebrities like rappers. It's really just Kanye 50 cent and pitbull. The rest I haven't even heard of. Who's heard of Fuijaya before? I haven't! If they had more celebrities that were better. It's still a good game though.
Rated 9 out of 10 by KENARD GARNER decent game for the price
I purchased this game brand new not to long ago from a local Gamestop store. I noticed how different the controller setup was on the game. It took awhile to get use to the controls. I remembered when I first started a season with my favorite team, I forgot to save the season. Due to this, I had to start the season all over again. I wish that 2K SPORTS could make some type of visible legend on the game so that users could easily find and navigate settings. A lot of times when a player is on a fast-break to make an easy lay-up, if you do not time the shot, you end up hitting the rim. You would think that fast-break buckets would be some of the easiest to make. I like the way that the game presents the statistics, such as when a team goes on a scoring run, or, when points or steals are made. Overall, I do like the quality of game for the price I paid.

This game is a really good game because it has so many features for a Playstation 2 game although people always has something bad to say about it. I feel that this game has all the basic features that a game needs, because there isn't a need for all those graphics like the xbox 360 and ps3 isn't needed for me all I want is a solid game that is fun and yet still challenging. This game has an all new turbo system that is accurate and well done because your player can't keep going on and on like an energizer bunny but he needs a breather after a while. Then theres also a feature included which is the signature style of the players which is really excellent in my opinion. The rosters are updated and to get even more updated all you have to do is go online which isn't quite complicated. The season mode is really good and accurate just like how the real NBA season is with all the injuries and what not. The game also has the association mode which is really good because you have to face the challenges of a owner which is yet still fun. Then there's Street mode, tournament mode and quick game as well also one on one just like the others.

This is a pretty good sports game. The camera angle is good with many different choices. It can be set to different difficulties giving it a good veriaty of chalenges. The controls are good until it comes to shooting. The controls for shootin is the right analog stick that does not tell you what you are doin with each action such as dunking, layups and shooting. So, shooting is sort of confusing. The amination and graphics are great, very realistic. The backround sound is a random mix-match of bad rap songs, but the in game sound is realistic with comintators. The interface is pretty good. The statistics are good comared to the end of the last season, which is pretty much good. Also, the team/Player variety is good with all teams and I think all players. Also good features are you can create a player and a team. The only bad thing about making a player is there are not many different face shapes so if u make more than 6 players some of them have the same face shape. Also, the bad things about about making a team is you cannot pick the team colors and you cannot create your coach's looks so each coach that u make will look the same.

I love this game!! The street mode is awesome. I like the celebs in that mode. On the down side I don't know how it stops without me quitting. I also have a wii and this game is better on that console. The thing I was sad about was NBA 2K10 on PS2 did not have the My Player mode. But there is other features/modes or games that takes that pain away. For example, The Association, the All Star game and the playoffs. The only weak spots are the animation, for example Amare' Stoudamire doesn't look like him in real life, the rosters and sort of the main menu. But overall I love this game, it is totally awesome, amazing, spectaculuar and any other words that desribes this game. If you have not bought NBA 2K10 on PS2, then run to Game Stop and find it, then buy it and test it at home to see if what I'm staying is true.

NBA 2K10 is my all-time personal favorite for many reasons. Even though it's on the PS2, it has among the best gameplay, graphics, and sound I've ever seen on any video game. 2K did an excellent job making this game special among other games in the series, as well as other sports games on the market at that time. There's a lot of special teams to play with, like Draft Class teams, legends teams, excluding Michael Jordan. Perfect cover athlete for the game with Kobe Bryant. All players in the game have real shoes, which is a plus because NBA 2K games for the PS2 have only generics for all players. The number one reason I love this game. If it wasn't for this game, I wouldn't have ever fallen in love with basketball, So yeah, I owe this game a lot. It's awesome, and it's amazing, as Kanye West said!!

This 2K title is just like the previous years. Same exact graphics, same boring commentary, and overall same boring end result. Some of the graphics are bad, for example, Yi has a head that is WAY to small for his body, I also noticed it on Brandan Wright. It looks like a couple baseballs together on a body, that's how small. This only happens to a few players, however. The game gets very boring after a while, and does not have a great lasting appeal. If you can get it, I would reccomend NBA Live/Elite. The only difference in this game from previous years, the new rosters.
