Rated 10 out of 10 by LiveToPlay Best Nascar Game so far
I think that this game is the best one so far because it lets you see what it takes to become a Sprint Cup Driver. It make you start out at the bottom and work up as your self and not like the other games did were you just picked a driver and that is who you raced with, this game lets you make your own driver and race. You get to build up your career from the ground up to the big time. Along the way you also have a chance to buy a race team and become the onwer of a great team. You get to race at a lot of different tracks that you haven't with the other game before, and that is one thing that is so cool because you aer able to see all of the different tarcks and race them with all of the different cars. The game so much better handaling for the cars now, you can drive auto alot better now and not have to worry about hitting the wall while going into a turn or hitting the car next to you. So I am glad that they came out with this game and I can't wate to play the next one.

This game is great, graphics more colorful than NASCAR 2005, better camera angles, fun challenges, and great music. I would recommend this to anyone.

The introduction of squad-based racing into the game offers a more realistic look into how multi-car teams cooperate during races. There are several different modes of play in the game.
Dodge Challenges: you have to complete challenges based on real-life scenarios, completing them earns you skills points.
Dodge Speed Zone: in which you complete tasks like blocking, drafting, passing, and time trials and you get awarded either a bronze, silver, or gold medal depending on how well you do.
Season Mode: in which you can race an entire season in the Nextel Cup, National, Craftsman Truck, and Whelen Modified Series.
Race Now Mode: which allows you to do a single race.
Chase for the Cup Mode: in which you race in the last ten Nextel Cup races of the season and try to win the championship.
Career Mode: called Fight to the Top. In Fight to the Top mode you start out in the Whelen Modified Series and work your way up through the Craftsman Truck Series, the National Series, and finally the Nextel Cup Series. You also have the option of buying and running your own team in any series.
The squad-based racing feature in NASCAR 06 can be controlled in two ways. The first way is by using the right analog stick to select which teammate's car you want to communicate with and then choose the command that you want your selected teammate to follow. You can even swap cars, which allows you to move the whole team up the front of the field. The second method is using a USB headset that allows you to say commands so you don't have to use the right analog stick. There are also more options to choose from when using the headset compared to using the right analog stick.
Skill points are another feature in NASCAR 06. You get skill points from completing Dodge Challenges, getting medals in Dodge Speed Zone, and various things during a races such as leading, sharing draft, clean passes, etc. These skill points are then used to unlock plates. Tracks, drivers, paint schemes, and Create-a-Car sponsors are things that can be unlocked by purchasing these plates.
Unfortunately, as with any game, there are things about a game that are not perfect. EA Sports has a trend of “ it ain’t broken don’t fix it” thinking. From moving drivers to different cars or the change of paint schemes/sponsors year after year, the game tends to be the same thing with every installment. EA doesn’t try to bring something new and refreshing when a new season of a game comes out. This has been happening since 2003. Other than that I see nothing wrong with this game.
NASCAR 06: Total Team Control is a great game and I recommend that anyone who wants to get a Nascar game should get this one.
