Well, let's start with the basics. The storyline is the same as the movie, Rick O' Connel's son, Alex is kidnapped by the evil mummy, Imhotept. I bought this game a couple of years ago,but returned it because of the difficulty. Then I realized I wanted it again. You can either play as Rick or Imhotept. Imhotept is easier, and Rick is almost impossible. Sadly, this game is one of those games that the peoples mouths don't move when they talk. Playing as Rick, your son has fallen into a hole and you have to find him. But as Imhotept, He is awesome. As him, you are ressurected and you have to find 4 offerings to the Egyptian gods. But what is fun is that you are in a museum. If you hit someone twice, you can suck their souls out. That is the alternative of health packs in this game. (For imhotept.)You can also ressurect other mummies to be your fighting minions. That is about it, I would reccomend this game if you are tight on money, but absolutely does not compare to any modern game.

This game is mediocre at best. I loved the movies, and really wanted to like the game, but I just didn't. Playing as Rick O' Connel wasn't too fun, and he didn't have any kind of moves other than punching, slashing, and shooting. I found myself growing incredibly bored even on the first level, and I decided just to let his son rot in that chamber he fell into. I was just about to return the game when I decided to try playing as Imhotep. This actually wasn't bad. It seemed almost as if he was easier to control, and he did have special moves, and magical powers. He could suck out the life force of his enemies to rejuvenate his own life force, and sacrifice half his health to re-animate other mummies, not to mention he could wield two swords at once unlike Rick's ability to wield just one. So I went ahead and played through the game, and got the chance to play as the Scorpion King towards the end. Playing as this huge monstrosity was fun, it gave me feeling of power, but it still wasn't what I had wanted when I bought the game. I wanted to play as Brendan Frasier's character, but playing as him wasn't very fun. In light of this, I didn't much care for this game.
