Mega Man Anniversary Collection
One of video games all time greats...Mega Man!
While growing up during the 1980s, 8-bit video games were synonymous in my everyday life. When I first played Mega Man upon it's initial release (December/1987), I was compelled to the wonderful level designs and sound of Mega Man 1. Having been one of the most difficult games during this time span, Mega Man 1 left me with a profound effect on the acheivements of action/adventure video games. Fast forward to one year later (1988) with the release of Mega Man 2. Mega Man 2 is undoubtedly one of the greatest games ever created with brilliant graphics, sound, and overall gameplay. When I first played Mega Man 2, I knew that the Mega Man series would be my all time favorite (and it is to this day). The acheivements in which Mega Man 2 had accomplished (especially the sound) lifted the standard for future games to come. Ahead now to 1990 with the release of Mega Man 3. You figure that the company who made the Mega Man series would slowdown in their development considering the success of Mega Man 1 & 2...WELL THINK AGAIN. Mega Man 3 is in my opinion (and to many gaming experts) the best Mega Man of all the 8-bit series (that's nine Mega Man titles if your counting at home). Amazingly enough, the creators of the Mega Man series hit an all time high when Mega Man 3 was released. Mega Man 3 introduced superior graphics, superb sound, awesome gameplay (with the introduction of the Mega Man slide) and great storyline (again you have to remember that I am talking about an 8-bit system). The remarkable success of Mega Man 3 on the 8-bit gaming system stands as a testament of gaming acheivement. Even today, many gamers still play this game. The continous play of all the Mega Man games is enough to verify the kind of impact that all Mega Man titles have had in the gaming industry. I can go on and on about the rest of the Mega Man titles. However, I will end my review by stating that Mega Man will go down as one of video games all time greatest series. Thus, GO OUT AND BUY MEGA MAN ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION!!!
Classix never die!!!
I remember playing mega man 3 on my nintendo,It was just about the coolest thing ive ever played up to that point(1990)I was 14 years old.I completed it eventually.I loved the mega man games ever since that time.the anniversary collection is awesome and they ve made everygame exactly as originally done,Well maybe a touch up here and there. Its about *edit* bucks(plus 10 % off w/your edge card) at gamestop. Its worth it megamans 1-8 and 2 unreleased games to unlock, brings back memories!it can be rather frustrating at times, but very fun and entertaining too,and time consuming, great for a rainy day when you cant go anywhere.this a cool blast from my past,Ijust wish theyd do a Super Mario bros.anniversary collection 1-3 and Super mario land and world.Im a big kid I love this kind of stuff. I'm a rather nastalgic person as you can see, Game on!!!
I don't have this game but I can imagine what it's about, a collection of old games of Megaman, from the first games that were on for the Nintendo Entertainment System to some of the latest Megaman Games, the controls must be Exellent, I mean It's megaman after all. Megaman games are always good, the graphics and animations are'nt to good, but then again these are old games for the NES and other systems, so for back then, I'd say the graphics are pretty good. The sound is Amazing!..... uh, I'm talking about the music, if you listen to just a bit of the music, it will be stuck in your head for hours! maybe even DAYS!!!! so for megaman fan-boys like me..... oh and also megaman fan-girls get this game before it's too late, even the storyline is great! get it.... NOW!!!!!!
