Medal of Honor Vanguard
You can't get tired of this game.
Well i'll make this review short but, lets start with the gameplay. First off, the gameplay is awesome, it really takes you into the moment of battle were you just don't want to put the controller down "LOL". it's epic, and it's simple. Plus you learn a lot about the history of the war, and the 82 Squad, and what they went through. I have played this game 6 times and i still want to keep playing, normally i'm the type of guy who likes sword fighting games rather then shooting games. But this game is by far the best shooting game I have ever played. The guns are fantastic, you can only hold 2 but you still do have grenades, and what's better then a couple of grenades. "LOL". you van also use german guns as well, you can also get into house or tall buildings to use a MG42 those are kick, The story: The story is just like the history books, so like I said you learn a lot of history, and what went on up there. But i don't want to talk about the story too much cause, that would be like me telling you the answers to your school problems "LOL". just take my word for it. It's a great game but it.
An overall decent game.
I was really excited when I bought the game when it first came out. Just by looking at the case of it I thought it was gonna be a pretty good game. But after the first few missions I lost interest in it. I liked the controls because there really wasnt anything wacky about it. I thought that teh sounds got very repetetive after awhile also. Another feature that I didnt like very much was how zoomed in the weapons are. I didnt like that there isnt much deatail like when you have to clear a house it doesnt quite seem like your in a house If you were a fan of Frontline or Rising Sun I would recommend it over this game. But the things that i did like was that there were enough obstacles to where you could hide and shoot at the enemy. I also like when you jumped out of the plane it felt like you were actually dropping down into combat. I also thought that the multiplayer action was pretty good. But i think that MOH European Assualt is more intense in that area and also lore fun. But overall it is game that i would play when there really isnt much to do.
This game is great for the first hour or so. But it's the same stuff over and over. You play the role of Frank Keegan a soldier in the 82nd Airborn. You go through 4 major campaigns in the allied victory, a great way to learn the history of the war. However the Nazis look like painters. The campaigns are only 2-3 levels each so if you want a lengthy game don't buy this. The graphics aren't that great and the only challenge really is the jumping out of the planes and landing in the correct area. This is not in any way realistic due to the fact that you can take a direct hit from tank shells and survive. The controls are easy to learn especially for shooter fans and the sound makes you feel like your right there on the battlefield. The multi-player is horrible; no online play and not many options. If you were hosting a party and you needed a quick game for a little tournament or something i suppose it would be great. You need 4 people to make it good. All in all buy this game if you want to learn some history but don't buy it if you want a good game.
Vanguard is decent
First time through this game posed several things to me. First off, the game seemed to be rushed by MOH, causing the game to lack some of the better things. First, the pros: The graphics were well made. Secondly, the game had the "rag doll effect" so that bodies land differently every time. The physics were a little off, however. The historical background of the game was well made, too. Now, the cons: The game play was entirely too easy, except for the last level on the hardest difficulty. And even there, it was like if you're finger got hit you would die. So the game is either way too easy, or unbeatable. Personally, I like games that build what the personality of the person you play as and the people around you have. This game barely does that. On top of that, there is only one route to take toward the enemy, so you can't flank on this game. Basically, this is a game where you play it one to three times, and you never play it again.
Great game, but splitscreen stinked
I loved the single player, especially Operation husky. As for the multi-player, it just stinked. I was playing with my friend and I couldn't even play for 5 minutes. If you are a single playing person, then this is the game for you. If you are looking for a great multi-player game, this is not the game for you.
shooting fun game
this game is very fun if you enjoy killing-killing in games i mean of course.not violent unless your like 2 years old-which your probably not if your playin this game-rated T you young children who play this xD-i recommend it. fun and challenging. pvp is really fun to. its kinda hard to win if your me though-because im not an expert at this. xD thats why its pretty hard wen you in pvp and its your 1st time playing, fighting an super crazy game freak pro with a 70000000000 record time of playing-or whatever the record is-time,score,amount of soldiers killed whatever. by the way-you probably know-its a war game. shoot and kill-not fun to everyone-this is my opinion-not yours.but you really gonna like it so get your butt of your bed-onto your wii -or whatever-and ply this game!!! if you don't have it buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it FUN!!!!!!hey thanks for reading this comment.and listen to wat it says!!!!!! computer comments don't lie!!!!
A good medal of honor game
I think they need to work on their graphics and make a more involving story line with main characters. Other than that I like that you can get weapon upgrades and badges for each level.
I thought the game was very enjoyable, but theres no difference among guns and other weapons when you play the other MOH games. the story may change, but the gameplay doesnt. if you want to play co-op, DO NOT get this game. i wouldreccommend this game if your looking for a good online experience and a good single experience too. i would reccommend MOH: rising sun if your looking for a good online experience along with a good co-op and a good single player. The MOH games have good online experiences but all of them, eccept for the new one and rising sun, have no co-op. this game is a good war game, it has a good story, and its fun online but i still think its only O.K. because of its lack of originality.
the very best medal of honor in my book
i love this game, this one and rising sun are just too awesome the graphics are descent, and it's just alot of fun,it gets a little more difficult towards the end,but is fun, i would recommend this game over others
Whats there to say in a market flooded with fps this is as generic as it gets. Why sure you can drop into the battlefield as a paratrooper but whats the point when almost always its the same or close to the same place. Its not a terrible game and if you want all medal of honor games buy it. The ulimate problem is it doesn't have the charm of the older ones, it doesn't have the amazing gameplay of the newer one, or the portablitly of heroes one and two. There are alot more ps2 fps that deserve a buy over this one.
