Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
What happened to 4 players?
There are a couple of things I really disliked about this game. First, what happened to all the other characters that were in the first one. Why did they take some out? I was really looking forward to playing all the old characters from the 1st one along w/ the new characters from this one. When I found out they had left out some old characters I quickly cancelled my xbox 360 reservation, but I kept the ps2 one for the kids. Which leads to the next big thing I have a problem with. I bought the 1st one for my kids since I have 4 and they loved being able to use the multi-tap to all play at the same time. After I picked up the 2nd one and gave it to them I quickly found out it was for only up to 2 players. I felt ripped off and the kids were alittle disappointed. If a 3rd one comes out I will keep my money and buy the kids something else. Other than those 2 things the game plays almost like the 1st one. My advice is play the 1st one, keep your money to buy a different game.
A SICK GAME
I enjoy this game beacuse most of my favorites super heroes are in this game. The game is good because it has decent graphics, good gameplay and good enterteiment, though some levels are extremely hard and the bosses have a lot life and all the attacks do little damage to them. You'll spend a couple of hours defeding Venon or Radioactive Man and other villlians. There are a couple of things that I don't like. The first thing that I don't like is the character selection screen because it is white. Also, some levels are super long and hard becuase every room that you go there are like 20 guys and every guy has a lot life, but I like the little movies that happen when you past a mision because it has cool graphisc, and. the fusion attacks are awesome and very usefull against a lot of enemies. So all i 'm saying is that this game is realy good and worth buying.
When I played the first game, I thought the second one would be a little better but I was totally WRONG. Nothing was actually good because the story never made any sense and the begining was very confusing to me.The graphics were very blurry and bad at first and I thought that it was just my TV but then I tried it other TVs but it was still blurry and bad. At first you start in Latveria then in NYC but then the heroes split up into to groups kind of like a civil war. I would accept an amazing war but both sides fight each other for a while then they team up to defeat villians so what's the point of war anyway? Although there are new characters and fusion powers, they still took out a LOT of the old features that were good and put in the bad features instead. It's main problem is the storyline because it's non entertaining and plain old boring. This is probably the worst game I've ever played for PS2 or probably the worst game I've ever played.
Almost As Good As the First
I really don't get why a lot of people didn't like this game. It was almost as good as the first the only real downfall were that you couldn't change the heroes costumes, it takes a long time to load, the storyline is not as good, but still good, and you have a little less freedom. And there were a couple things better than the first, there is better graphics, more heroes, and more powers. Overall it is a very good game. Don't be a hater.
A decent game
This game was a very pleasing game that was extremely fun to play. I am a huge fan of all things Marvel and when I was introduced to the wide variety of characters, powers, environments and "power fusions" I was astounded at the detail that went into this game. The picture wasn't as clear as a PS3 game or a X-box 360, but it was clear enough that the details of the costumes and powers were visible. The length was very pleasing also, it wasn't overly long and didn't drag on. Also the option to change sides makes it enjoyable to replay the game again. Some bad things were that the game often froze with glitches, but the auto save feature was a lifesaver. Overall this game is a fantastic contribution to the Marvel franchise of many, unfortunately, terrible games that fall flat on their face!
I got thisgame for 10$ at some store. That price is worth the game but not 20. They lost people and you can only have one costume. So honestley your better off going with thw first game or evan a different game. This game makes no sense your with the hole gang. Then next thing you know its captin america or iron man. do they really have no ideas for a game. I am sorry but a game that i would get is justice leage it is a way better game. This one is nothing to do with with the whole series but his is only my opinion. This game is very short took me like 15 hours to beat this game. With unlocking the other people. It makes no sense so do not spend the money unless you find a really good deal. This is what my beleves for this game is thanks for reading.
Buy the PS3 version cause this one is horrible
I bought this not knowing the differences between PS3 and PS2. Be warned, this game has worse graphics than #1, worse gameplay than #1, worse character selection than #1, and insanely difficult puzzles. Now I am a forgiving gamer and could forgive the first 3 problems. The 4th however was evil. After Absorbing Man Boss you find 4 nodes in width 4 nodes in length 16 in all. If you press 1 node 3 will go off and then press 1 and 3 more go on thus going in a never ending cycle. This game isn't worth the trouble not even for the intensely fun storyline. DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glitched, Rushed, and the Biggest Waste of Time and Money
After watching the end clip of Marvel Ultimate 1 (galactus), I thought I was going to play a game about a war between marvel and galactus. Then I found out it was a marvel civil war. Still pretty cool. Then, I played it. It was horrible. The first real level was glitched (NYC). Then I have to restart the game. I figured the game would be more fun if I played with some of my friends. I could only play with 1 friend. 2 players. That's it. In all the other games (X-men Legends, x-Men Legends 2: Rise of apocalypse, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1) you could play with 4 players. In all of those the storyline was much better, and it was logically real. The X-men really fought Magneto and apocalypse. its also agood idea to have Doom try to take over the world. and it could have been a good idea to protect the world from a planetsized super giant. But, no my favorite chracter, Iron Man, has to battle Wolverine (my 2nd). Horrible. I didn't even finish the game. It wasn't worth it. If you want to play a game like this get one of the others I mentioned before: X-men Legends, x-Men Legends 2: Rise of apocalypse, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1.
It is awesome.
This game is great for anyone who likes super heroes. It has a part where you can choose which side you are on, which makes two different endings, each ending unlocking different characters.
Didnt live up to the first
Less customization, missing some favorite superheros from the last game, not as good as a story as the last game. This game just didnt live up to the first ultimate alliance game.
