amazing game i regret trading in
I use to own this game and I really regret getting rid of it! The story line is pretty much were your in an insane assylum and your characters are daniel lamb (main character) and leo (secondary character) and later in the game you learn that you did a project seeing if you can put two personalities in one body and thats when leo comes in. hes that second personality and he kills daniels wife so daniel does everything he could to get leo out of his head. In the beggining hes working with you (like a friend) but when it comes to last couple of missions you find out what he does. Thats when you "kill" leo. This games pretty sweet get it I'm not gonna spoil it for you (i hope i didnt spoil it for you) you dont even need to play the first because the storylines are TOTALLY different from the second and it doesnt come close to the first so go ahead and get this game. I also suggest that you get the first manhunt because that games more creepy and people pop out and chase you out of nowere so get that game you'll like it.
I love this game! I thought it was amazing. I just got my PS2 Slim in February and yeah my boyfriend donated to me racing, sonic the hedgehog, parasite eve, and DBZ games. I wanted one of my own. I knew what I liked and this was what i liked. Something that would scare the crap out of me if i were playin it in the middle of the night! This was it! The meter shows you who is around but sometimes people just jump out from behind walls and I scream! I will play this game over and over. Just when you think it's the last chapter and you're panting from the suspence, another stage is starting! Its great! The graphic nature is pretty intense. I have a weird habbit of playing the sequal of games before playing the original and I have to say the first one is kinda slow. It really is a bit easier then the second of course. Instead of really looking for weapons, in Manhunt the weapons are circled, colored, and flashing its not that challenging! GO MANHUNT 2!
this is probably one of my favorite Rockstar games of all time. it has a twisted, but interresting storyline, and even though the violence is gritty and a bit over the top, its still fun to play. i was able to beat it in a couple days, mabye in about 10 hours, which is why im a little displeased with the length, but i think its one of those games you would want to play over and over again. the graphics are great on the ps2, since this is the last game Rockstar made for PS2. sound quality is awesome, and sometimes a little creepy. keep this away from kids because of language and sickening execution noises. still, i would highly reccomend this to anyone, if your looking for and intense, violent, stealth action thriller. go out and get it, its cheap, and has absolutley NOTHING to do with the first one, so you can play either one first. GREAT GAME
Your brain will implode!!!
I have played both manhunt games, and this has been #1 out of all the games I've played from Rockstar games. There is enough gore in this game to make Resident Evil 4 look like a kiddie game. But don't let that fool you! you have to hide bodies, save yourself, choose who lives and dies(on rare occasions), and there are many guns! Ranging from the Glock 17 to the M4 to a desert eagle. there is only one sniper though. My over all favorite levels are the bees' honey pot, ghosts(fav kill!), and assassination. The coolest thing is when you shoot someone in the head from close range(with anything but the bowgun) their head explodes! sometimes there is a ring left from their skulls, but it's awesome. If you've never seen a Friday the thirteenth, or hellraiser, this game will literally cause your brain to implode. this game is not for those with weak hearts. There atre also multiple endings with shocking twists! Get this game!
In the same flow of things in manhunt (1) you have to use stealth, brute force and good old fashioned slayings. The story line is very interesting, first level you get spit on, peed on and even have feces thrown at you. And if that isn't enough to keep you interested, there are nurses viciously beating all of the inmates as you make your way through. The general background is dark and looming with death, a well made game keeps the suspense the whole game through. My only negative comment would have to be the executions in this one.In the first manhunt the camera was right in front of your victim and you could pretty much feel the blood splatter soak your face. But in this one the screen goes red and overly distorted, with vague glimpses of what is taking place. This isn't enough to take the thrill out of the game thank god. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who played and liked the first. And to anyone that hasn't played it you really need to. Something about this game keeps you locked to it until the end. So if you have **** and a craving for mass murder then look no further,.
This game is good for people who enjoy stealth games. I bought this used at gamestop, lol its too challenging! I mean even escaping the asylum in the beginning was hard! That "CLUB" mission was really disturbing and hard also. lol. I got past that and now im stuck. I hardly play it now. Its really hard! Other than it being challenging, its a good game with great graphics. The storyline is: you and some guy leading you through it are the only surviving subjects of some expiermental test and the "project" will stop at nothing to find you. In this game you have to sneak around, no one can see you. If they see you they will kill you. In this game it has shadows in dark places. This is one of the hardest games ever! But if you enjoy games like this then i recommend it to you.
better than the first??
Now, as good (and extremely difficult) as the first manhunt was, all the "buzz" is about how this one is going to be completely new and fresh and over all, better. But will this game really be richer in quality and suspense? Now we all know that this game will satisfy our cravings for gore and horror violence, but what about the storyline? Personally, i think that it's good that there will be no crossovers from the original, I'm not saying that the first one was low in quality-it was not. With the abilities to crawl, climb, and preform enviornmental kills, the upcoming sequal (if you can call it that) should be much easier. R* has added new challenges (all of which shouldn't turn up to be a problem after a couple hours, or days (for the weak at gaming). I am very much looking forward to this game and have already pre-ordered it. in other words, this game is going to own....yea.
This game looks great!!!
Even though a lot of people say the main character doesn't fit the game, I have to disagree with them. The fact that he's weak and not the killing type makes him even more dangerous. I watched a few leaked videos on Youtube of some of the missions and the guy gets crazier and crazier. He hallucinates visions of his past while still focusing on his main goal and the only way he can calm down is to take some "MEDICINE". Even though they toned the game down from an AO rating to a M rating doesn't really change much. The only thing they changed about the game was taking out two missions and blurring level 3 executions. The thing about the level 3 executions are no problem, just turn up the brightness. Overall looks like a great sequel, I'm definitely picking this one up. Had my copy reserved for months now anyway. Can't wait till Halloween!!!
This is a great game, unfortunately it is not as good as the original Manhunt, but it is still very good. My only problem was when you move, your character doesnt move as easily as I would like it, when you turn you have to do basically a full circle, and you can't see what you are walking into right away when you turn. And there is a minor lag when when you are attacking your enemy face on in fights, making it very easy for you to get hit. I defiantly hope they are planning on making a Manhunt 3.
I am happy that this game is out
I am so happy this game is coming out. Once again Rockstar is executing it's First Amendment right to produce this game and push the envelope even farther than the original. I cannot wait to buy this game. I also am happy about all the anti-violence people coming out of the woodwork and giving this game instant publicity. Rockstar couldn't ask for anything more!
