by Jsanoxd An Underestimated Game...
I loved this game back then. I got it at around 2008 and ALMOST JUST ALMOST beat the game. Until the game stopped working some how and just seriously had numerous glitches. This game is GOOD. Some might say "Oh, HA HA! I bet the Jak series is going bad now, huh? No wonder they're making racing games now!" But NO. This is actually a really fun arcade racer. The modes are fun and I haven't seen this in such games like Blur™ and Pure™. I love the death matches. It's where you get a power up (if no power-ups you get a boring old gun) and you kill every driver around you. Unless if they're on your team. It's especially addicting with multiplayer. The sounds are good too, and you here every bullet! This is NOT a bad game. Get it, now. It may not be like the platforming ones, but still the SAME characters from before, and good as always. Good work, Naughty Dog.

Jak X: Combat racing is an awesome game. The best part of the game is the weapons. I mean the weapons are just awesome. and after you kill some one the slow mo of the explosion is so cool. The game play was o.k. but i think the creators could have tried a little harder to make the game play look better. I also think that the cars in the game were very creative and i think you should save you're money to improve one at max two cars from each car class. I thought the game gave you a challenge but it wasn't so hard you couldn't beat the game. The controls were so easy to use i didn't have one problem with the controls being to hard to use. You can also scan for secret characters like jak from previous games. So instead of wasting you're money on other games you should buy this game instead. I would definitely put this game in my must buy ps2 game category.

This game was amazing. my cousin and i would would play this game twenty four seven. It was really that addicting. i thought everything was great about it, movies looked great wide selection of cars and weapons and the track were the best. most of the time i just drifted and crashed but that was when i just got the game, now i finish every lap in either gold or silver. you get the jak characters from previous games if you have those games saved and then you just find a option that says scan and then boom you get previous jaks. after a while the levels got easier but then you race new people and that makes this game one of the best games i have. The only down side is if you go on the offline mode you cant play as long as you want. in one of the open are places i drifted so long i made a huge drifting record.
Rated 9 out of 10 by THoch105 An amazing racing game!
Jak is back and this time he is out on the track and ready to race. It may seem that it is a lame rip off but it is a very good game. This game has a good storyline that follows the series and great racing. You will probably see some familiar characters and some new entries. The story is that there is a race that Krew wants to win; therefore he tricks the gang into racing for him. Luckily, he left you behind some great racing material. Now about the gameplay, the controls are very easy and you get a very good tutorial in the beginning. This system takes advantage of all the buttons and is very easy to understand. The in-game graphics aren't next gen but they are very good. This is combat racing so the combat is the best part of the experience. There is a large variety of weapons that can help you out. Plus, the slow-motion camera when you are blown up is amazing. The car reacts to where you get hit rather than just blowing up. Finally, there is a wide variety of cars that you can use and customize, although there is a limited amount of customization items. Overall, this is an amazing racing game that I highly recommend. The graphics may not be great but everything else is. It is a good buy.
Rated 9 out of 10 by wizzard Best PS2 racing game out there
This is the best PS2 racing game there is because of the gameplay, sound, graphics, and awesome action. There is nothing like the intense feeling when you are about to cross the finish line and just hoping you won't get blown up and lose the race. this game is very fast paced so mistakes in races can be crucial and frustrating. the power sliding and steering handles very well for me. the graphics are as good as they get for the PS2 and there is no lag. there are also a lot of other modes to play in such as capture the flag and death match. this game has a really good replay value and will certainly satisfy if your'e looking for a solid PS2 racing/action game.

What really gave this game the greatness was how fun it was. There are lots of different events, like classic circut races to capture the power cell. If you are a fan of the franchise and think it won't be the same without the old Jak feel, you're wrong, it still has creative missons. I also liked the weapons in this game. The controls are easy, the graphics increadible, and the sound isn't that bad either. By the way Daxter is still pretty funny. Fun game but you really need to get the series to understand it or else you won't know half the people.

As a big fan of the Jak and Daxter franchise, when I stumbled upon Jak X at the store I was thrilled. Just the thought of a new game starring my favorite duo was enough to warrant a purchase. Well it's been seven years and I have still yet to beat this game. Now normally I would blame myself for sucking at a game or rage quitting, but when I started the game up again, I quickly learned why I stopped playing this game in the first place: the game crashes all the time.
Now, I don't know if it is just me having awful luck or genuine poor design, but whenever I get to a save point, the game crashes, and I am stuck at a never-ending save point. To make matters worse, whenever I would restart my PS2 to try again, the data corrupts itself. Now I have heard of ways to counter this, which I am 100% willing to try, but when I try to start a new file, I run into another problem, the game won't create a new file. I have checked my memory card time and time again (makes me love hard drives so much more) and I have the perfect amount of space needed to create a new file, but the game thinks differently.
As for the game play itself, its really good. The graphics have never looked better, the writing is still top notch, the characters are likable and the racing is fun and challenging.
If it weren't for the game-ending bugs (or just my luck), this game would stand alongside the excellent trilogy of games that came before it, but as it stands, Jak X is just another racing game, only with more bugs.
Rated 10 out of 10 by RacerGamer1818 Best Racing Game Ever!
This game is great, period. The gameplay is just absolutely amazing, the races are intense. What's better than racing head to head blowing each other up? NOTHING. And if you're a fan of the series, the game has old fans back again. If not, you will still enjoy this masterpiece of a racing game. I bought this game the day it came out in 2005, and I still play it every weekend today! If you like racing games, and you like guns, AND you like COMBAT RACING, get this game now.

JAK X: COMBAT RACING is the best Jak game in the series (in my opinion). When I first got this game, I would play this game for hours and hours, customizing cars and winning races! If I could, I would give this game more than just a 10/10! JAK X: COMBAT RACING FTW!
