Overall this is an okay game. i liked it and had fun with it. the sound was ok but when the japanese guys die they make 1 of 3 noises so it gets very annoying. depending what difficulty your on it is very chalenging. mostly because you dont have anyone to help you and your taking on a lot of people. there werent really any easy levels and 4-6 shots your dead. it gets frustrating at times because its not clear what your sposed to do sometimes. one of the fun parts is you get to use explosives and aa guns and every mounted machine gun in sight. one of the things that i really disliked is that the enemy sees you even if your hiding behind a bush or something. they dont always have very good aim. the thing about the enemy is that when they have the machine gun they will empty the whole clip and only hit you twice if your standing school. i loved it and if you can stand the annoying sounds they make when they die

I was excited about the game, but after a few levels of it i was disapointed. The thing the makes me the most disapointed is that you are solo. After I saw "Letters from Iwo Jima" and saw the game, i was siked about the Iwo Jima level. But now disapiointed about going solo. I wouldn't really recomend this game. Not the greatest game, but it was ok. I thought Iwo Jima would be like D-day in the landing crafts, but i was wrong. If you like being solo, then you should buy this game. I wouldn't. The rest of the game is.........so so, though I would think you should buy Call-of-Duty, (which is way better). Not really much else to say about the game except this game is a mixture of bad/good/ what is this. Also a little wierd, suddenly your in front of a dying commrad, then next you like a mile away, but once again, if you like being solo, then you shoud buy this game.

I had the game for a little while after it came out last christmas season and from the start I was not impressed. The game looked exciting and fun but the real thing was just the opposite. When I began there was no tutorial in how to play like other games and there was no allies to help me shoot enemies. It was just me on my own taking down armies of Japanese infantry. And when the enemy did show up, they could see me from a mile away and would stand behind a rock shooting through it or when they came out in the open, they would stand in front of you in firing squad style emptying their clips into you. Over all it was a very bad game and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone. I apologize to anyone who worked on this game and hopefully it was better on another system.

i've seen three screenshots and read a small overveiw and it looks good. i was impressed by the civil war game too. i would love to see the one the history channel did on the Roman empire make it to the PS2. i'm hoping there is a mission where you can fly a plane and strafe targets as well as torpedo attack and dive bomb ships or ground targets, but i think from what i read this is basically going to be a first person shooter, similiar to the Medal Of Honor games. i think it looks cool.

When I first got it I thought it would be great, but I soon found out I was wrong. The graphics are good, the gameplay gets dull and the sound is ( depending on how you rate sound) 50/50. The objectives are creative and fun to do, but the problem with this is you have NO other allies other than yourself, it's like you vs. Japan, woopdedoo. Anyway, if you like other history channel games, or are a collecter, go ahead get it, but I wouldn't buy it if you're just looking for something to pass the time.

I love the history channel, and i also love shooters so i thought this game would be perfect, but ur health almost never goes down, i completed a hole level with just the knife. also the sounds r equal to a super NES, it was close to 8-bit, i completed the game four times in four hours, i would return it, be i dont want anyone else to waste their money like i did. If u want a WWII shooter get one of the early COD games.

First off I'll tell you the ONLY bad thing about this game. In most of the levels you are on your own.Now the AWSOME things. The weapons are awsome including: M1 garand, Shot gun, Thompson, type 44,type 100, knife, kantana sword, and many more. And your health regenarates slowly like in CoD. This is not the best war game but definatly one of them. This game is a must-have.
Rated 2 out of 10 by SRGTHALO not that good
this game is not that great. to me it felt like a cheap immitation of call of duty 2 BRO. the only time i failed a mission is because of the dumb squad system. no chance to look around. i beat the single player in about an hour and a half. multiplayer is not great. not recomended.
