Who needs weapons when you got a dog!
Haunting Ground is a great horror game, first off there is no weapons but your K-9 will stun those foul crazy bad guys so you can get away. But it does getting boring just abit. The sound is so powerful with voice acting and the music is top notch too. The graphics is very good, I couldn't stop staring at Fiona's melons...okay then enough of that but the game does have many endings. Just like Clock Tower 3 and Rule of Rose with gameplay this one stands out more. The puzzles are mild to hard but overall it's a great game.

Great eerie game!
This game is great for anyone who likes creepy games. Not being a shooter, there is more to be creeped out by. Characters with interesting and unique backgrounds add to this game wonderfully. The soundtrack is eerie and suitable to what happens in the adventures of the beautifully animated heroine, her canine friend, and the people you will battle. Essentially, this game is great, but not for people who are big on combat or killing via gun, but for those who enjoy the style of fighting you use to outrun and outwit your opponents, it's sure to be great. In the end, this game brings all kinds of wonderful work to the board and is well worth playing.

Play With the Lights On
I got this game, and began to play it, not knowing what was in store for me. The intro scene made me look over my shoulder many times, as it was very creepy (and I was playing with the lights off, late at night). So after turning the lights on, I ventured on. This game captivated me, with it's interesting plot and spooky gameplay, I found myself sad that it was over. But I'm currently trying Hard Mode. We'll see how that goes. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a good thrilling game.

Unique Horror with Multiple Endings
This game is definitely one of my favorite horror games since it actually manges to make some decent gameplay. You control Fiona, a girl who, unfortunately, can't defend herself at all who is trapped inside of a castle. In the game you also will control a dog which is your main defense if the 'bad guys' actually see you. The dog is simple to control but depending on your relationship it might not obey you. You can tell your dog to stay, attack, search, come or hold (for stronger attack). You can praise your dog for doing things that you like and scold the dog if it does not listen. The point of the game is to find away out of the castle by avoiding bad guys (hide in shadows/other spots.) but it is annoying how the dog is seen and they often do nothing. The puzzles in the game for the most part are okay but some are a little ridiculous and pointless leaving you with a confused look on your face and wondering what to do. Other than a few moments in the game where that happens it is okay except I personally don't like the story twist but it is still a game worth playing even with those flaws. The multiple endings with this game make it an amazing game to replay, plus when you beat the game you can access more costumes for fiona and a minigame where you must protect Fiona as Hewie (the dog) which is a nice change of pace. With great replay value and pretty decent puzzles, this game is definitely worth checking out for you PS2 owners.

Best that I own
I find this game to be a masterful work of art and the best game I've ever played, it has many qualities that impress me, namely its lasting appeal. Although I've played it more than 30 times something always surprises me. The graphics are fantastic and realistic. There are other things that keep you playing too, after you finish the game for the first time you unlock a secret room, and a hard mode. In the secret room there is a mini game, costume chest, character, play type, movie, and music gallery that is fully interactive. In the game there are many ways to play and different endings to work for. You can decide to run away from your pursuers or fight, and you can choose how you treat your canine companion. This game far surpasses its predecessor, Clock Tower 3 and that's what Capcom set out to do with this game. if you've played it you would know. This game is only for hardcore gamers that are also obsessive completionist, which means you have to get all the achievements or special content. if not this may not be the right game at all for you.

Diamond in the Ruff
This game is like a diomand in the ruff....it has a lot of good things about the game, like absolutely NO load screens. which i really liked. the graphics were pretty nice for a last gen console, i really liked the facial animations for our female protagonist: Fiona. The atmosphere and characters are great, they definitely make the game a survival horror platform. there are four main crazies you try to avoid in the game, retarded shrek, hot psycho maid, crazy cloned dad, and an old creepy alchemist. all of which were much loved characters that i had fun with.... however, there are some bad things in this game that make it quite frustrating. first, your dog that you befriend hardly does what you want him to do when it counts, secondly Fiona is the epitome of sexist protrayl for woman, this chick cant defend herself worth a crap, panics too much, and runs out of energy too quickly. she can run fast, but after getting hurt a bit, she's a snail. another thing is that some parts of the game are a little annoying as their are many ways to get confused at what your supposed to be doing. this game could have been great, if they would have equipped Fional with a combat system, she can kick (like a stereotypical girl, so it doesnt help ever) and she can shove, which doesnt do any damage and just leaves her standing still catching her breath while the bad guy beats up on her.... this game is good, its just frustrating bcuz they didnt work on some of the main parts that make a game successful.....i will say this, that no other survival horror game will make you feel as helpless as Fiona in The Haunting Ground. if you have some spair change and some patience than i'd recommend this game. its about a 10 hour game, so it should keep you occupied for a bit.

Haunting Ground Is Awesome!
This game is a true survival-horror. It is so creepy. I mean you wake up in a weird castle and you are locked up in a cage. Throughout the game you will be playing as Fiona Belli a 18 year-old girl. Later on Fiona will find Hewie a white german shepherd. Well Hewie is there to protect you from the stalkers who are after Fiona for very different reasons. Also the gameplay is great. While running for a length of time Fiona starts to slow down because she is tired. I think that makes Fiona more human like. The music gives the game a creepy atmosphere. The only down fall for the sound is that Hewie's barking sounds fake. For 2005 the graphics are good for this game. This game is pretty challenging and super fun the first run. Overall This game is a great game. If you like survival horrors then you are going to enjoy this game.
