Probably the best in the series
I have grown up a huge Harry Potter fan and this game was a wake up call that the games haven't gone completely dead. A high point of this game is that their is endless things to unlock and to see how many crests you can find spread around hogwarts the downfall of this game is the boring side missions and boring story or Campain. Other than that every Harry Potter fan can find a part in this game that they will enjoy. So I would recommend this game to any gamer and Harry Potter fan because I think a lot of people can enjoy this game.

Great game, perfect graphics.
I couldn't be more impressed with the rendition of hogwarts, which has a HUGE map that holds tons of collectables. This game has the best graphics I've seen in a ps2 game. Go out and buy this game now!!

EXCITING
I played this game and beat it and it was so exciting to play and i found it to be quite an amazing game for ps2 and although i'll always play order of the phoenix more this game is still very amazing the last few duels will be quite a challenge for you but they aren't impossible this game was epic story was great, graphics could've been better but they get the job done at least, gameplay was fun and great, controls were nice, cutscenes were good, voices were good, and the audio was good, not as open roaming around hogwarts like in order of the phoenix and past games in the series but i'd definately recommend this game to anyone who wants a great action/adventure experience peace out.

This is my first Harry Potter game.
This game is pretty fun, but i have never played any of the other Harry Potter games. So I will have to try the others and post another review. I bought the game yesterday i got home and started playing, and about 2-3 hours later i was finished. So it's not a very longstoryline.I liked the controls of using the analog stick to cast spells. The game could have been longer, that's really the major downfall of the game. Quidditch is ok, but pretty boring just going through the stars to catch the snitch. I wish you could have casted spells in the halls. It is mostly like the movie. Potions is pretty fun two, doing all the things it requires. I haven't completly finished the game yet, I need to finish all the other potions you get to make, you get about 8 pages of potions you can do.I'd reccomend to those who like playing these games, It was fun.

PS2 Version/Good Game
This is a good game. Similar to Order of the Phoenix except a little less open. But Quidditch is back, potions is funner then in the previous game, and the new clubs are fun. Quidditch is similar to the previous games, same old fly through the hoops(stars). Potions are more detailed with mixing different things, stirring, and heating up your cauldron to create different potions. No more wizard chess or gobstones though. No more cursing in the halls either, all duels are restricted to the dueling clubs, one for each house. Test your skills in flying club and matches against fellow houses. The storyline is the same as the movie, so nothing new there. The grounds and castle are very detailed, but less so the Order of the Phoenix. It seems they have taken a small step back from Order of the Phoenix, but still fun and sometimes challenging. Took me a day to complete the storyline and still working on the extra stuff.
