Additionally, the game will offer significantly more localized downloadable music than ever before on all of the next-generation consoles. Budding rock stars will also be given creative license to fully customize everything from their characters' appearance and instruments to their band's logo and album covers.

Featuring three drum pads, two raised cymbals and a bass kick pedal, the drum controller combines larger and quieter, velocity-sensitive drum heads with soft rubber construction to deliver authentic bounce back and is easy to set up, move, break down and store.
  • The Next Great Songwriter, is You - Guitar Hero World Tour's innovative new Music Studio lets players express their musical creativity by giving them access to a full complement of tools to create digital music from scratch utilizing the redesigned touch-sensitive guitar controller and an authentic drum kit. Virtuosos can then play their compositions in-game and share the recordings with the entire Guitar Hero community through GHTunes where other gamers from around the world will be able to download and play their original tracks. Available to Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 gamers is Line 6's guitar tone technology, enabling them to use amps, cabs and effects from the world-renown Line 6 POD®.
  • An Original Set List that's Truly "Everlong" - Guitar Hero World Tour features the largest, most diverse on-disc set list to appear in a music-based video game. Comprised entirely of memorable master recordings from some of the greatest artists of all-time including Van Halen, Linkin Park, The Eagles, Sublime and many more, Guitar Hero World Tour delivers over 85 tracks for countless hours of rocking. In addition to the killer track list, the game will feature rock icons such as Hayley Williams of Paramore and Travis Barker of +44 and blink-182 and a collection of many other superstar musicians making their video game debuts on the Guitar Hero stage.
  • Don't Stop Till You Get Enough - Starting with initial releases at launch, gamers will be able to expand the "Everlong" set list with frequent downloadable singles and track packs - including for the first time ever, in-game downloadable content on Wii. Making the options endless, rock stars will have a limitless supply of downloadable content through GHTunes creating a set list where the music never ends. In both the quickplay and career game modes, gamers can build their own playlists which allow them to select and perform up to six tracks in a single gig.
  • Making the Band - Guitar Hero World Tour features an all-new cooperative band experience allowing gamers to share in the most social and expressive music revolution ever. Budding rock stars can live out their rock n' roll fantasies by playing either a single instrument or any combination of instruments, in addition to the full band experience. When rocking as part of a band, up to four players can jam together in quickplay or as they progress through a career. Both band and single-player careers feature non-linear progression giving artists the option to change difficulty and instruments with a variety of different gigs available at any time.
  • Global Invasion - Guitar Hero World Tour introduces revolutionary new online game modes including "Battle of the Bands" which allows eight players to join online and challenge each other band-to-band to establish global supremacy. Virtual musicians in need of band mates can take their careers online forming worldwide ensembles so no rock star ever has to play a gig solo.
  • Fully Customizable - Featuring one of the most extensive character creators ever, Guitar Hero World Tour allows gamers to create a rock star with style as unique as their own. Absolute customization from the clothes to the facial and body structure to the tattoos and accessories, players are encouraged to unleash their inner rock legend. The Rock Star Creator doesn't just allow players to build the ultimate rock god; the in-depth creators include the ability to customize guitars, drums and microphones. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Guitar hero world tour review, Amazing. After the succes of guitar hero Aerosmith, they deicided to make another installment into the guitar hero series, and It is, in my opinion the best guitar hero game ever, so each stage you play at is based off a real life stage and you tour the world just like the tittle says. there are a total of 19 venues, and a lot of songs. you can also create your own avatar in this game and play as him, and if you have the game on the Wii, you can play as your mii character, and if you have the xbox 360 version, you can play as your xbox avatar. and for the first time, you can play the game with a full band, that's right, they released a bundle that contained, two guitars (one for lead and one for bass) a drum kit and a microphone, these new instruments play just like the guitar, as the drums, when a note comes, you use the drum sticks to hit the pad with the same color as the note, and with the microphone, it is basicly karaoke. now as a full band, you and 3 other freinds will be playing all four instruments simultaneously. this was a very nice change for the guitar hero series and it started something great. the songs are by some of the best artists ever like Nirvana, The Muse, and even Micheal Jackson. and just like the other games, there is a guitar battle mode, it is a multiplayer game, but sometimes in career mode, you will have to do a guitar battle against the bosses like Zakk Wylde, and during the guitar battles the rules are kind of different that guitar hero aerosmith, instead of trying to mess up your opponent so that his rock meter will start heading south, you have one rock meter that's split in half, on half for you, and the other half for your opponent. and there is also a quickplay mode just like the previeous game. and this game is amazing and i recomend it to everyone. Next time, I will be reviewing Super Mario Sunshine for the gamecube, I'll see you then.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Guitar Hero Game For PS2 This game has an amazing song list. I think its the biggest of all guitar games for PS2. I perfer this game over Rock Band because you can do everything rock band can do and the notes are easier to play in Guitar Hero.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly perfect This is incredible thanks to the fact that now you can customize your rocker and your instruments. It has many great songs and you have four ways of playing on single player mode which are guitar, bass, drums, or mic. This game is nearly perfect but this game has one tiny problem; it takes way too long to load, it doesn't matter if your doing beginner, easy, medium, hard or expert it just takes way too long to load the song or just take you to the main menu so you will need patience which i have none.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EH, AN OK GAME GH World Tour is apretty good game. The customization is good, the playlists are good. But for singing, it's kinda hard to tell how high or low to sing. I also think it's kinda a copy of Rockband. And if it is, I would reccomend Rockband more than this. Again, i'd only get this if you were a hardcore Guitar Hero fan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wasn't the best. Ok, so I got this game for Christmas last year, and played it for an hour or two. After a while, I got bored. Songs weren't very appealing, although being able to customize your character is pretty cool. Recommended 8+.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Over Rated! I bought Guitar Hero World Tour thinking it was going to be one of the best games of all time. When I opened it up and started to play I personally thought there were several flaws. First, the graphics. Guitar Hero 3 had better graphics than this. And I really don't like the fact that the kick pedal for the drums is purple so you can't even see it on half of the tracks. Second, I did not like the tour mode. The way you have to play every song in a gig in order just annoyed me. It didn't give you much freedom to choose your own songs. Last, I was so excited I finally got to make my own song. So I created my first song and it wouldn't even save. So I tried again and once it finally did save it took up a large portion of my memory card. Then I went to play it and it wasn't even my song. In my opinion Guitar Hero World Tour is over rated. I think if you are someone looking for an awesome music simulation game just by Rock Band 2. It beats Guitar Hero in every way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got a weird verstion? Don't get me wrong this game is awesome many good songs and graphics are really good but when i put it in today and started t up (it was used game) i played some songs and some person messed around with it and now it wammies when ever it has a chance and does star power instantly when i get it so i need to get it fix but i bet you won't gt the kind i got because mine was used but for game wise it s really fun i have had fun with it and when i bout it i got the noika guitar or what ever and its nice but the problems i have with it is the neck fells thick and the start and select button are in my way so when i play a song i hit them but i dont' care about it as long as it works for 10$ why not but yea if you want a family fun game go for this first you will have much fun and if not then i don't know what will work for ya but yea have fun shopping.
