Rated 10 out of 10 by john richard grand theft auto is a great series of games
my favorite game has to be gta vice city because the story is great the graphics are okay because it isn't the newest game out there. the sound is high great for surround sound. its also fun when you have a steering wheel because its fun to drive with. the challenge of the game is to complete the game and unlock city's and the bridges are your gate to the next land. the cars in the game are fun to play withlike for example the lamborghini is fast to have when your getting chased by the cops who some times get on your nerves a little like when you get busted or wasted. grand theft auto is a fun game to play on your day offs on sunday or just any day when you have some spare time. you can also get the cops cars which you can do missions in or just cruise with your sirens on. the missions in the game are fun to have because you can buy houses,clothes,and/or cars.its the most fun to bep at the people or put your sirens on because they move out of the way. But the funnest part is to play the whole entire game with yourself or friends.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Trav-i This game is AWESOME!!
Sure, it is kinda old, but sometimes, old is better. It's no GTA 4, but its still one of the best Grand Theft Autos. Some of the Graphics suck, like their hands, their fingers are stuck together, they make them look like Lego hands. But the shooting is great, and there are loads of different weapons to choose from, you can even use tools, such as a hammer or a screw driver. To heal yourself, there are health packs lying around in different parts of the city, or you can pick up a hooker, but you can only do that at night and it costs money, you could just kill the hooker once your done to get your money back, though, or, if you cant find a health pack, or a hooker, you can just kill yourself, but you will lose a small sum of money, all of your weapons and if you were on a mission it would end. There are shops around the city, some of which are Tool Shops, and Gun Shops. As you progress through the game, you buy buildings to save in, when you first start out the game though, you can only save in the Hotel. All in all, GTA Vice City is a great game, and if you like long Open-Ended shooting games, you'll love this.

this is way better than liberty city and has a very good story line. my favorite part of the game was the last level but you should find out what happens your self but anyways, its a great game.It has pretty good graphics and some very amazing places like the mall. I love running around it like a freak with a gun. the story line has some easy levels and harder levels just to keep you playing its not to hard and not to easy and that's what keeps it fun. the game play is amazing to its so much fun to ride around in a tricked out car and run over people. one cool thing you can do is rob shops it took me a wile to find that out but it is a good way to make some quick cash. but before I get carried away I just want to say its a very good game. this is one you should buy if you want something addicting and exciting.
Rated 10 out of 10 by smash_enigma Viva Vice City!
Vice City is just like San Andreas and GTA 3. The graphics are much better than GTA 3, and there's a lot to do in Vice City, which may I remind you is BIG. It's fun being able to buy your own businesses, and the characters are engaging, but the actual storyline missions aren't that long. You can finish most of the story missions in just a few hours, but some extra missions are added thanks to the new business aspect of the game. Graphics still look good today, but there are some flaws. Even so, GTA: Vice City was a game which (along with GTA 3) has set the standards for all other GTAs. It's also nice being able to fly helicopters, and shooting innocent bystanders is great, though it's annoying that you can't lock on to them if you don't have a gun. Either way, if you love GTA, you'll love this.

I grabbed this title about 4-5 weeks ago at one of my local Gamestop's, sure glad I did, talk about "tons of fun"! This game is real special to me, being born in 1970 and my awareness and preference in music not coming on-line until around the early 1980's, the tunes in this game sooth my soul. Like the band Mister Mister singing "Take These Broken Wings", just makes me feel like I'm back in 1983 to 1984 and its my freshmen year in high school, the soundtrack takes me back. Plus the game for me touches a soft spot in another area. This game depicts the city of Miami, well in the 1980's, from 1984 to 1989 NBC had a hit show called "Miami Vice", this game touches the love I had for that show. I love stealing a nice white Ferrari Tessterosa and driving the streets and getting what it might have felt like for Miami Vice's lead character "Sonny Crocket", played by actor Don Johnson!
The game is a real treat to play, the controls aren't that hard to learn and the graphics are very decent for it being a Sony Playstation 2 system, very decent indeed. So if you kind of define who you are by things back in the 1980's, the music, the scene, the people and cars, you will love this game!

Grand theft Auto Vice City is an amazing game. it has about everything you could ask for in a ps2 game. This game is very challenging though. You can trust me on that. there is this one mission where you have to save lance vance (your friend) from some gangsters at the dump. it took me like 4 tries. one other thing i have to say negative about this game is that sometimes the mission objectives don't make sense. what i mean by that is that it doesn't give enough detail on what you're supposed to do. I also somehow messed up my game where i no longer have missions. I have no idea how but i have no missions left and i am only like 16 percent done. besides its minor flaws, this is an incredible game, especially if you still only have a ps2. I highly recommend this to any ps2 owner.

Everything about this game screams style as you're hurled into a flashback to the hey day of the excessive 1980s. The game looks beautiful and hit at the right moment with all the right stuff.
Rated 8 out of 10 by madcuzilost Im cuban and I like this game
yes yes the fact that i was born in cuba does help while playing this game because i know what the cuban characters are saying and talking about. THE GOOD- many different radion stations with good 80s music. lots of weapons. funny dialouge/radio commercials and billboards/signs around the city. good story. lots of different ways to travel. many things to do when you dont feel like doing a mission. making the cops chase you is fun!Once you reach 5 and 6 stars it becomes outragous! They bring tanks and helicopters and i think the only way to escape (without dying) is to go to a body shop with a vehicle. THE BAD- most missions are way too difficult.
Rated 10 out of 10 by StaticInfamy The second best GTA i've ever played
This is one of the two best Grand Theft Autos i've ever played (First being San Andreas) in most cases old is better then new, GTA 4 may have been way better in graphics, by introducing Rockstar's new "RAGE" engine, but it doesnt feel like Vice City & San Andreas did. You could do a decent amount of activities (Night Clubs etc.) , without going off the main storyline, with GTA 4 they packed so much stuff in with being able to golf, bowl, get drunk, multiple night clubs, strip clubs, street racing etc. and the story itself way so disorganized and "Blotchy" that the main missions weren't fun to play at all.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Trapper75 The start of something big
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is what can be considered a trend setter. With the use of excellent voice acting by A list actors such as Ray Liotta and Burt Reynolds, fun and exiting missions, and one of the best soundtracks found within a video game; Rockstar crafted a game that many others tried to follow in the months and years following the release. Being quite the lengthy game with zany characters and a rather humorous and stereotypical parody of the mid 1980s there is much to offer here. This is why this game is now considered a classic, just over 11 years after its release.
