Fire Pro Wrestling Returns
Fire Pro Best Wrestling Game EVER!!!!!!!!
Fire pro wrestling is the best wrestling game ever. It might has poor graphics and it's in 2d but it's challenging, fun and there's more you can do on this than tna impact and the smackdown series. if you like wrestling games this is the game for you.this game doesn't have the gimmick matches like svr series it's more japanese style with barbwire death matches and eletricfied barbwire explosion death matches. It has the steel cage match but the only difference is you can put weapons inside the cage. in this game it already has 352 wrestlers already on it and if you want more you can create 500 more wrestlers 4 yourself. you can create your on rings' logos for the rings create refs. This game also has over 1,000 moves to choose from.so if your'e a gamer like me. Buy it, it's the only game that can give the ultimate wrestling experience
The reason to hang on to your ps2
Fire Pro Wrestling for the GBA is still eating up my lunch breaks. The PS2 version will be awsome. You can create wrestlers to look and act identically to their liscened (WWE, TNA, NJPW, ect) counterparts. The graphics are old school but they work. I imported Fire Pro Wrestling for the Saturn and it was great then, I can't imagine how great and deep the ps2 version will be, I can't wait.... I've already pre-ordered it. Thank you Agetec!
FPR comes to the states!
I have played the import version. Any wrestling fan with a ps2 owes it to themselves to pick up this game. A great roster of 327 wrestlers, consisting of many Japanese wrestlers (Misawa! Kenta!) and some old and new American wrestlers (Bret Hart! AJ Styles!), and the ability to create a whopping 500 custom wrestlers. Not only can you edit the stats, moves, and appearance of your wrestlers, but also how the computer plays as them with an extremely detailed CPU logic system. The gameplay is based on strategy and timing, not button mashing, with up to 8 wrestlers in the ring at once, and great AI. You can also make your own tournaments, belts, rings, refs, and more. This is not a game to pass up.
Forget THQ/Yukes !!!
Fire pro is great wrestling game. It has a ton of great modes that blow WWE games out of the water. In terms of graphics, dont expect a masterpiece, the game uses sprites and do a good job. Gameplay and modes is where this game really shines. For casual (pick up and play) gamers this my not appeal, as controls take time and patience to master. For hardcore bloodthirsty wrestlng fans this is right up your alley with barbedwire matches, exploding cage matches and much more. Finally the creation modes. You can create a ring, ring logo, and edit or create any wrestler from the past of present. You can also use the create a belt feature and battle for the title. PLEASE BUY THIS!!
Possibly the last great PS2 game.
Fire Pro Wrestling returns to the United States! Any fan of fighting/wrestling games would undoubtedly appreciate the realistic gameplay, amazing wrestler edit mode, large sized roster and variety of play modes in this amazing game. Those of you looking for ultra-realistic 3D graphics need not apply, however, because Fire Pro is a 2D game and in many ways looks like you're playing a Super Nintendo. The art style of the game is still very good, and if you can get past the 2D graphics and somewhat punishing learning curve, what lies beneath is the most fun, amazing wrestling game ever created. At a budget price, this is a steal.
The reason I quit playing WWE wrestling games..
Enough can not be said about this game, it's simply a wrestling fans dream...I've had this title for over a year now and I still can't stop playing it..
Every grapple and move in the game is based on timing, not only that but you have to wear down your opponent before executing a big move (like a powerbomb) this requires some strategy and can be frustrating to most people new with the Firepro series.
The copy write issue with the organizations are the only thing out of place..so you might see a wrestler that resembles Sting but is named "Spike"..and a promotion like NOAH that's called NOVA..
The 2D sprites are fluid and make it feel like a wrestling match..just watching the computer go against each other puts me on the edge of my seat sometimes..the counters are smooth and the finishes can be unpredictable at times..
The move set is almost endless for the edit mode "create a wrestler", just as well as the attire. If you have the imagination you can make just about anyone..and I mean..ANYONE.. not to mention the fact of making titles..AND wrestling rings
Once you get used to the controls, make a few wrestlers of your own ,and do a little renaming prepare yourself for an event of a lifetime.. if you're a real wrestling fan and mark out at the thought of Sting facing Bret Hart only to face Andre The Giant in a barbed wire death match later that night.. then this game is for you...
Get it and enjoy!
The first time I played any fire pro game, it blew me away. The sharp 2-D graphics, the extremely addictive gameplay, the great customization, and DEATHMATCHES! Not to mention nothing quite beats watching Kane and Triple H in a UFC style match. Not to mention the AI is so good, you can make someone act like their real life counterpart. Get this game, it's a budget title, but it's worth the hundreds of dollars people paid to import it.
This game is great,
Unfortunately there are those of you who will shun this game due to it's graphics not being those of THQ wrestling games. Well guess what, this game isn't about graphics, this game is about playability, fun, and greatness. This series has been around for years, and probably has one of the best fan followings around.
Fire Pro Returns! When?
PRE ORDER NOW! PRE ORDER NOW! That seems to be Gamestops mantra. I preordered this and even opted for same day shipping, only to find that not only has the game been delayed, but that Gamestop has yet to send me a courtesy email. Presell pushers without hearts, it's a shame. Thank God for Ebay.
If it's like the GBA Games it's going to be great!
The GBA Fire Pro Wrestling games are by far the best wrestling games ever released for the GBA. So I have complete and utter confidence that a version for PS2 that was originally made in Japan with and updated roster will be nothing but awesome for and pro wrestling fan with a PS2.
