Rated 8 out of 10 by SpaceGamer Pretty good for a ps2 game
I got this game after I got FIFA 10 for ps2 which was a nightmare. This game has a lot of things the make the game fun and things that make it frustrating. The gameplay is EXCELLENT and very fun to play and it is too unrealistic either. It has pretty good physics but the collision system is a little off and the players fall a weird way when ever I slide tackle. I love the music that plays everytime in the beginning of the match. I also like it whenever I play Manchester United, the crowd yells "United! United!" like a real crowd and boosts morale. The graphics are AWESOME for a ps2 game and has WAAY better graphics then FIFA 10 for PC. There is one problem that makes me stop thinking FIFA 06 as an excellent game. There is only four difficulties: Amateur, Semi-pro, professional, and world class. The difficulty semi-pro is too easy and I win matches like 4-0 or 5-0 and getting past the defence is too easy while taking the ball away from them is easy too. On professional difficulty, everything changes. It is WAAY too hard to get possession and trying to take the ball away is nearly impossible. THE AI does everything (skill moves, scripting) that makes them seem super human. Whenever I finally get the ball, they just take the ball back as if they aren't trying. THE AI CAN DETECT YOUR MOVES IN DIFFICULTY AND ABOVE. So the lasting appeal isnt good since professional difficulty makes me so frustrated.
