by Shurturgal So this game is perfect for games who love blood.
This game has alot of violence and hope that if you are buying this for a 7 year old you now their parents are okay with blood sprouting out of every little wound but this is a awsome game. But really really tough, even on easy difficulty. SO I hope you'll enjoy this game
Rated 6 out of 10 by lobothesacred3 Eragon another Hack and Slash Adventure
Eragon is a rather mindless hack and slash game that takes place over 16 missions with a few of these missions being comprised of flying on your dragon. The game is executed well enough with you able to gain new abilities as you advance through the game, but the skills are tied to the levels so you never go back to a previous area and use new abilities, and despite the amount of abilities that you will acquire your only going to rely on a handful of them during the game anyway. The game also suffers in a few areas because of the camera angle. There is no way to adjust the camera in this game and sometimes you can enter a room only to head back out do to a dramatic shift in the angle of the camera.
Eragon is rather middle of the road in terms of graphics. The graphics aren't bad, but the dull environments and lack of detail can grow old after a while. And considering that this game only takes a handful hours to beat is a testament to how tiresome it becomes. Many of the areas are just an earthen brown or dull grey for the most part with little to break up the monotony.
I don't have any complaints with the soundtrack, but it doesn't stand out either. The same can be said for the voice acting as well.
If you manage to collect all of the hidden eggs in the game you can unlock a bonus stage. The bonus stage is just comprised of dealing with wave after wave of enemies in a never ending cycle until you die. You can also attempt to beat all of the stages on hard mode as well.
Lasting Appeal: 4
Eragon (XBOX 360): This version of the game includes an additional two levels. So, if you liked this game then I'd suggest checking the other version out or if you think you'll like this game then I'd recommend getting the XBOX 360 version.
Nano Breaker (PS2): A rather bloody hack and slash game that follows the typical story of a government project gone wrong. You play as a powerful cyborg that was released from his imprisonment to deal with the problem.
Drakan (PS2): Is an action/adventure RPG that follows a young woman and her adventures with her partner.
