Awesome game for its time
Long before the Awesomeness of the games Batman Begins and especially, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman games were lackluster and never gave Batman fans a true, fun experience. When Batman: Vengeance came out, I was blown away and was convinced that it was the best Batman game up to that time period. Ten years later, I still believe in that assertion.
The game play is a bit repetitive but is not a huge problem to where it takes any of the fun away. Batman's character movements are solid and smooth but I do wish that when Bats uses any of his gadgets that he stays in 3rd person instead of switching to 1st.
The story is well done and is line to the animated series that once graced our TV screens and gives Bats the opportunity to use his detective skills.
For its time, the graphics are awesome, clean, crisp and well done. The graphics and characters stay in line with the Art Deco style that graced the animated series very faithfully.
Finally, one thing that sticks out above the rest is the terrific voice acting. The same voice cast that was behind the animated series reprised their roles with Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill's amazing voice of The Joker and Arlen Sorkin as Harley Quinn.
Overall, the game is fun and the best Batman game of its time and highly recommend it but is quite inferior from Batman: Arkham Asylum for obvious reasons.
